True Aubz, a Manchester-based artist of Jamaican and Austrian heritage, is on a mission to make a mark in the world of conscious Rap and R&B. From a young age, Aubz has been passionate about music, drawing inspiration from legends like Lauryn Hill, J Cole, and Alicia Keys. These influences have shaped Aubz’s sound, which blends thoughtful lyrics with soulful melodies.

Growing up in Moss Side, Aubz has faced challenges, including battling the stigma associated with the area. However, rather than letting these challenges hinder her progress, Aubz has used them as fuel for their music career. This determination has led to significant achievements, including a memorable performance alongside Kendrick Lamar in 2016—a moment any artist would be proud of.

Aubz’s progression as an artist doesn’t show any signs of slowing down. Recently, she showcased her skills at Raise the Bar, held at Gorilla in Manchester, where they demonstrated their musical prowess by improvising lyrics to an increasingly rapid BPM. This performance is a testament to Aubz’s dedication to their craft and their ability to adapt and thrive under pressure.
