Partisanship is again at forefront of this year’s school board elections - Minnesota Reformer Democrats and progressive education advocates say “parental rights” is often just a trojan horse to smuggle conservative ideology into school.
I concur! May you unlock your strength today!
Have you? 8 days left.

We have all been welocomed to wing by and check them out tomorrow. There will be a huge display. Every pumpkin carver should be proud.
I took the pledge with the School Board Integrity Project to be a champion for all students and to lead with integrity, respect, excellence, belonging, and truth at the forefront.

Goodnight world 😘
Thank you Aquilla for the PTO meeting invite, this past Monday. I had the opportunity to introduce myself, engage with families, while getting to know them and some of their concerns.
Since then, I've received a number of emails from you all. There were some tough questions, that needed to be addressed and I'm thankful for the opportunity you all have given me to grow in my understanding. Mostly I'm excited to see how much we all have in common!
Hopefully, with your vote I'll be given the opportunity to sit in the seat that will allow me to echo your voices and bring changes that will make SLP Schools a tighter, stronger, safer district.
A great big THANK YOU to those who came out to support myself & Yolanda.
I hope you learned enough about me to know that I care about the city of SLP and the direction it is headed. When deciding how I wanted to give back to a city who has given so much to my family, having 3 children in the district made it an easy choice, to start with committing my time as a school board member.
Thank you for coming out on a weekday evening to support us and sew into our mission. It was wonderful connecting with all of you & your donations will help us reach more supporters!
Huge thanks to Lynette and Michael for hosting 🫶🏾

I've been busy but I haven't forgotten about all the birthday love I received. Thank you all so much for loving on me 🫠🥰
I spent my birthday week sick but with the help of my fascinating mother we were able to feed many families in need.
If you can give a little.. give a little. One small donation of bread, butter, socks, etc, will be of great impact to the right somebody.
I didn't say it but my tea bag did 😊
After working, having an endorsement interview and then a school board meeting, Malik decided at 10pm, for his school snack he wanted banana bread and disappeared back into his room. So I crawled out the bed and into his room cause WE are making banana bread.
It turned out to be my snack too 😋
What I've learned in 40 years:
✨️Not to take anything personal.
✨️If it doesn't align with my journey, it must go!
✨️No one owes me anything.
✨️I'm blessed to be loved by so many.
✨️I thought I wanted to be a therapist, until I some how became a therapist 😑
✨️Accountability is one of the keys to growth.
✨️No one can take care of me better then me.
✨️Let it go! Let them go! You can't save them all.
✨️Love harder.
✨️It's bigger than me.
✨️I'm more like my parents than I thought I'd be
✨️I hate dirty mirrors.
✨️I was in denial but I really am a human 🐈⬛
✨️Having patience is a wonderful gift to self.
✨️Conserve your energy to fight for a cause.
✨️My therapist is dope!
✨️Gifting others is the ultimate gift to self.
✨️Allow kids room to make mistakes (growth takes place there).
✨️A smile costs you nothing.
✨️There is growth in uncomfortable situations. Embrace it.
✨️Be kind to yourself.
✨️I like making new friends (speak for yourself Aubrey)
✨️My parents did the best they knew how and sometimes I was a brat.
✨️I'm still a brat🫣
✨️Parenting is HARD!
✨️Step out on Faith and do it!
✨️All the cliches I've heard growing up are small packages of wisdom (Roll with the punches, a hard head makes a soft 🫏).
✨️Hugs aren't that bad
✨️Adulting is working on your birthday 😒
✨️God IS!
I was going for 40 😉 but my joints are locking up 🥴 GRATEFUL TO SEE 40 YEARS OF AGE. #40&fine 😘 HAPPY 40TH TO ME 🥳
Remember when I said (🫣😶) I don't want anything for my birthday but time alone.. I forgot to add AND MONEY. Is it too late 😬
In all seriousness. I have clients who are extremely down on their "luck" and need help but have been shamed out of asking for help when needed.
I'm asking that you bless one of my clients who is homeless and needs shoes. Winter is coming fast! He's an extremely hard worker, who shows up! And always has a positive attitude. I look to him for a genuine smile when my day is at a low. Unfortunately he needs help in more than one way and I've exhausted my resources. He just needs shoes now.
Client #2 has 3 small children and she is also a hard worker. She can not afford internet and uses her phone for business purposes but the screen is shattered, in such a matter that you can hardly see it and its cutting her fingers to scroll. She has missed out on so many resources for not being able to see the emails and having to wait til I arrive at her location (2 days/ wkly) to use my laptop to check.
We are all 1 person but together we can make a powerful impact towards the success of an individual and possibly the people attached to them.
Help me save our community and be a blessing. If you can help, we can iron out the details later.
Your generosity is needed and appreciated!
(✨️I'll be 40 tomorrow ️✨️)

The difference..
Bre's bus arrives at 7:50a, she wakes at 5a. Malik and Masons bus arrives at 8:27a' "mom please let us sleep until 7:50a!" 🤣
ITS THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL FOR SLP 🥳
Only caught 2. The 2 who spent their lives running from being twins. Now look at them 🥰
Have a safe, impactful, fantastic school year all!!
