Washington State Envirothon

WSE is the nonprofit behind the WA State Envirothon high school natural resources competition.

The Washington State Envirothon is an annual competition in which teams compete for recognition and the opportunity to attend the North American Canon Envirothon by demonstrating their knowledge of environmental science and natural resource management. The teams, each consisting of five high school students (grades 9-12) exercse their problem-solving skills in a competition centered on aquatic ecology, soils/land use, forestry, wildlife, and a current environmental issue.

The Washington Regional Envirothon Competitions are underway this month and the State Competition is approaching!

Envirothon 101 Webinar: Register Today!

Are you interested in Envirothon, but not sure where to start? Join us tomorrow, January 24, 2023 from 4:00-5:00 PM to learn about the basics of Envirothon participation, where to find resources, the competition structure, and more. Envirothon is back! Four Regional competitions, and one state competition later we've had a fun and busy year.

Envirothon Team Trainings & Webinars 04/02/2022

Northwest Regional Envirothon is hosting several free virtual trainings over the next month for Envirothon teams. This is a unique opportunity for Envirothon teams to learn about topics covered in the Envirothon competition and future careers in the environmental science field.

These sessions are open for all high school students to join, whether or not they are participating in Envirothon this year.

The first training starts on February 16th so please share with your students to register.
