For me, it was always just as important to be a good safety diver, as it was to be a good freediver or coach.

I put myself into competitions as a safety to get more experience.
Worked as a pro safety diver for 2 years.
And was head of safety for many competitions, training the safety team.

Safety is so often overlooked.

and myself are holding a practical Freediving safety course this May. Join us if you want to train your safety the same way that you train your diving.

People often see themselves as having equalization problems, but in truth, we cannot separate any one aspect of freediving from another.

A lack in any skill or adaptation is going to have a knock on effect through every other skill and adaptation.

It is my job as a coach to ensure every aspect of freediving is above and beyond what is necessary for the intended depth. This is the only way to progress consistently. And more importantly to dive with joy and fully experience that moment.
