*BE BOLD ABOUT YOUR FAITH*

_(Exercise Your Freedom Of Thought, Conscience And Faith!)_

*TO THE BIBLE*
*Acts 18:24-26*
_“Now a certain Jew named Apollos...had been instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in spirit, he spoke and taught accurately the things of the Lord, though he knew only the baptism of John. So he began to speak boldly in the synagogue....”_

*LET’S TALK*

Just as Apollos did, and as a believer in Christ Jesus, you’ve got a right to boldly declare your faith at every given opportunity without reservations. You must never be shy or intimidated to publicly proclaim your faith in Jesus. On October 1 in Nigeria, for example, the country’s Independence Day anniversary was celebrated in various public places across the country. At the different venues, they probably had religious men come forward to pray for the country. When a Christian minister is invited to pray at such events, it’s an opportunity for him to testify of Christ to those in the nation by praying in the Name of Jesus. However, some who had such an opportunity wouldn’t pray in the Name of Jesus, so as not to offend *“other”* religions. That’s sad!

We’re blessed to be in a country where even the constitution entitles us to the freedom of thought, conscience and faith, including the freedom to manifest and propagate our faith or belief in worship, teaching, practice and observance. We, therefore, have no excuse not to pray or preach the Gospel with all fervency as we should.

God gave you His Spirit to live in you and embolden you, so you’ll never be timid or intimidated to proclaim Jesus Christ openly. Jesus said *“…you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth”* (Acts 1:8 NASB). That’s how Jesus’ disciples, who were once timid, became firebrand ministers of the Gospel; they received the Holy Spirit. If you’re asked to pray or speak anywhere as a Christian, don’t be ashamed to speak in His Name.

Long time therefore abode they speaking boldly in the Lord, which gave testimony unto the word of his grace, and granted signs and wonders to be done by their hands.

*PRAY*

_Dear heavenly Father, thank you for the freedom I enjoy, not only as a citizen of your glorious Kingdom, but also of this great nation, Nigeria. I exercise my freedom of thought, conscience, and faith today without reservations, knowing that whosoever the Son has made free is free indeed, in Jesus’ Name. Amen._

YOU HEAR GOD’S VOICE
(God’s Voice And His Written Word)

TO THE BIBLE
Revelation 3:20 NIV
“Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.”

LET’S TALK

In a world where there are so many voices clamouring to be heard, do you sometimes wonder how you’ll be able to hear God speak to you above all the noise? Well, the good news is that those who belong to Christ have no problem identifying or hearing His voice. Jesus said in John 10:27, “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.” In verse five of the same chapter, He also said, “...they will by no means follow a stranger, but will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers.”

God speaks through His Word. Even if He were to give you a prophecy or a word from the Spirit, it’ll always be consistent with His written Word. This means that your ability to recognise God’s voice is tied to your knowledge of His Word. If you’ve found it difficult to recognise God’s voice, what you need to do is keep hearing and receiving His Word into your spirit; that way you’ll become sensitive to His voice.

Moreover, you have to learn to act quickly on God’s Word, and, not delay. When you do this, you train your spirit to respond to His voice. The more you pray in the spirit, that is, in other tongues, the more sensitive your spirit becomes to God’s voice. All these help to condition your spirit, and put you in sync with God’s ideas, visions, and promptings.

Colossians 3:16
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

John 10:2
But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.
:3 To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.
:4 And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.
:5 And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.

SPEAK

I’m a child of God; therefore I know the voice and the leading of the Spirit. I’m always quick to respond to promptings, instructions and counsel from God’s Word and from His Holy Spirit within me.
