The Brothers in Freemasonry love our Fraternity but sometimes life takes us away from the things we enjoy.
Don't let this happen to you. Brothers, your Lodges need you now as they always have. Don't assume that they will always be there waiting for your return. A Lodge is not our buildings but the assemblage of good and upright men who gather there. Never assume that you don't have anything to offer. Your presence and ideas could be the difference between a Lodge closing/merging and thriving in our community.
Every single Brother is an asset to their Lodge. We need experienced Masons and Past Masters to help teach the influx of new men coming into the Fraternity. We need your passion and desire to help to ensure our Lodges grow and continue to do what they've always done to support the communities in which we operate. .
What do you say Brothers?

Today marks the first day of Black History Month, a time for us to reflect on the lives of African Americans who have faced challenge after challenge in our country. This month, we aim to highlight black Freemasons that shaped our craft into how we know it today.
The contributions of African Americans are woven into United States history, including in American Freemasonry, dating back to the Revolutionary War when Worshipful Brother Prince Hall erected African Lodge #459, the first lodge of Blacks in America.
To honor the start of Black History Month, we encourage our brethren to review these educational materials on Prince Hall Freemasonry:

News From Mt. Zion #9 - Funeral for James Rine -
My Brethren,
I am happy to report that our Lodge has kicked off the current inspection season with a landslide victory at Licking #291 in Utica. We had 19 brothers in attendance, with the next closest Lodges being Ohio #199 with a solid 12, and Pataskala #404 with 10. These Lodges are working very hard to take the gavel from us; lets keep up the pressure so that isn’t an option. I would like to extend a personal thank you to the following brethren for their attendance this morning to help bring home the traveling gavel:
Fancis Endsley
Todd Fraser
Richard Morris III
Nicholas Myrda
John Seavolt
Douglas Brenneman
Paul Phillips
Al Levinson
Jay Sheldon
Bob Atwell
Art Crim
Galen Neibarger
Ron Fraser
Andy Schubert
Larry Cullison
Charlie Brenneman
Aaron Meighen
Bill McCrory
A reminder to all brothers; we are tracking the attendance of any that are traveling for inspections this season. Our Worshipful Master has had a unique pin commissioned for those brothers who have attended a minimum of five inspections. I encourage everyone to take part this season and show their support not only for Mount Zion #9, but also for the entire district. Our next destination to continue our Lodges win streak will be at Acme #554 in Newark on Thursday, February 15 at 7p.m. We will be carpooling from the Lodge at 5:30p.m. for any brothers that need a ride down to the inspection. Let’s keep the streak going and continue to encourage all brothers to come out and join in a night of fellowship.
Very Respectfully,
EJ Pido
Inspection Committee Chair
Senior Warden, Mount Zion Lodge #9
Mt. Zion #9 would like to extend its thanks to all the brethren who braved last night's cold weather to join us for our Inspection. We had an excellent turnout of brothers from the 19th Masonic District and visiting brothers from outside the District. Your presence helped to make a very special evening for our candidate even better. Thank you, brethren, for your support of our lodge.
