Horsham Rugby Club Under 16 Girls 52 - Worthing 0

The U16 Girls landed a confident win against Worthing last Sunday 52-0 in their National Cup match.

Members of the Horsham District Councils Sports Development team ran a basketball festival at Collyer's for local schools this week.

There were approximately 80 children taking part from school's across the District including Leechpool Primary School Southwater Junior Academy Shelley Primary School Horsham and Colgate Primary School

There were a variety of activity stations focussing on key skills, with the leaders coaching them throughout. The school then played some friendly matches to test out their developing skills.

Lots of fun was had by all at this introduction to basketball festival, hosted with support from Collyer's students and in association with Horsham Hawks Basketball Club basketball club, who will be able to provide further opportunities for keen players.

Josh has worked hard at his cricket over the last few years at CH and has also benefitted from our link with Horsham Cricket Club, giving him added exposure to high calibre cricket. Josh says: 'I am very excited about being given this opportunity and am looking forward to being part of the squad!'

We spent a great day a Hop Oast today trying to take a few action photographs. Here are sequences of all 5 first half goals.

The player of the match, Fliss Love, was amazing on the wing and the award was well deserved in our opinion.

Congratulations to the Millais U15 girls football team, who recently won 1-0 in the English Schools Cup first round.

Girls from CDGFC Girls Football Team, Roffey Robins FC, Southwater Royals Football Club and I believe one girl from Dorking Wanderers, combining well again in their first game of the season. Well done all.

We had an interesting visit to Horsham Rugby Club this morning.

The clubhouse is full of history and memorabilia. More items will be hung on the walls soon including Declan Nwachukwu's international shirt.

We have also included a photo of the sponsors board as the club could not operate without their generous support.
