NEPA Chili Dog Power Ranking
Just a foodie trying to make people smile, one wiener at a time
A road trip may be in order here to Doogies Restaurant in CT where they offer a 2 foot long hot dog! š²
What is the most obnoxiously sized food item youāve ever had?
Part 2 Ferris: Franks review pretty much aligns with mine. Very tasty but the bun to wiener ratio is off. Still a great little diner that has many tasty items on their menu. Itās definitely an experience to eat there
Luckily I had a half day yesterday and I did what any of you would do and went and did a chili dog review! Enjoy!
Quick shout here and in the video to Jim NEPA Pizza Review . The ultimate Professional. Thanks for paving the way for guys like me!
Majestic Lunch - 9.3 and this is a legit 9.3, not a 9.3 because I think they might be connected. Firstly, I absolutely love that their grill is right next to the front window. Itās impossible to just keep on walking when you see those perfectly cooked dogs simmering on the cooktop inviting you in. Iām also a sucker for any establishment that has those fifties style lunch counters. Overall this is an excellent chili dog from top to bottom. The dogs are butterflied and grilled perfectly. I enjoy the use of spicy mustard and like that itās applied to the bun as to not overpower the chili. The chili has great flavor. There is a hint of sweetness to it along with some nice heat. This chili does tend to be a bit on the greasy side but at the end of the day everything works together to make a fantastic chili dog Majestic Lunch
Check out Frank the Tank in the WB. Reviewing hot dogs in the place where I started this. On Barney St trying both Abeās and Ferris. This is Part 1: Abeās
Vidaroās Pizza and Bites- 8.8 I tried both their Texas Weiner pizza and hoagie. Both were excellent! The pizza was an excellent double crust pizza with a great crisp. It was a delicious mess to eat (especially if you do so in your truck). The mozzarella cheese inside was a nice delicious surprise. The chili had great flavor with just enough heat to make your nose run a bit. The hoagie obviously tasted very similar with the exception of the bread. I expected the hoagie roll to be chewy but it was not. It was nice and light and crisp. When you order they do give you the option of raw or sautĆ©ed onions so you can customize it to your taste. So definitely give their page a follow and be on the lookout for their specials of Texas Weiner pizza, hoagie, fries, wrap and even a salad. Vidaro's Pizza & Bites

Filmed last week. This review went off the rails a bit. Enjoy!
Sweet Treet - 8.4 I donāt have a lot to write about this other than itās was a very good chili dog. Good on every level. The chili could use a bit more flavor and heat to elevate this dog. Itās kinda how I feel about everything Iāve had had at Sweet Treet over the years whether itās a chili dog ; Good, tasty , cheap. Their breakfast special has doubled in price over the years and with that being said itās still only $2.89 for 2 eggs, toast and breakfast potatoes. So definitely check them out!
Birria Pizza and Birria Ramen from Stitch Smashburgers. They are not on the normal menu so definitely give their page a follow to see when they have these specials. Both were fantastic. The beef used is so tender and juicy and bursting with flavor. There is a really nice kick to the Ramen. Not so much that youāll be in pain or anything. Just enough to clear out your sinuses š¤¤š¤¤š¤¤š¤¤
So this is a story about love at first sight. When I first saw a picture of this Pagash on Gioās FB page, I could immediately tell that it was going to be amazing! Let me tell you, it did not disappoint!! So I did Tarantino this review a bit by starting at the beginning and going to the end and back to the middle. I donāt have a Pagash scale but from 1-10 this rates as about a 12
Iāve literally been waiting all week for this!! Pagash review coming soon š¤¤š¤¤š¤¤š¤¤
KJās Pickle Barrel- 9.1 not that it adds to the score but this is definitely the most āInstagram worthyā chili dogs Iāve had. The star of this show for me was actually the dog. Iām not sure what kind they use but it was cooked absolutely perfectly! Has that snap that I love when you bite but is still nice and juicy inside. The chili has some nice heat to it and a bit of an earthy flavor. I suspect thatās cumin? The roll tastes more like bread than a roll of that makes any sense. Probably because it looks like they use a thick slice of bread that they spilt down the middle. Some bites do give you a dry texture if you get too much bread in the bite. However the dog and chili are fantastic enough to keep the score high and make this a must try. I also really enjoyed the pickles on the side. Makes me want to try them on the dog! Maybe they should offer a Chicago style dog?
White House Diner (Forty Fort) - 9.1 Easily some of the best chili Iāve had on a chili dog. š¤¤ The dog was thick and juicy and cooked perfectly. The only slight draw back was that the buns tasted very dry. Despite that this chili absolutely delicious with perfect amount of sweet and heat which elevates this dog into the 9ās. An absolute must try!
What do you think about the hot dogs being served in the luxury boxes at the Super Bowl? My guess is they probably cost more than a ticket to a regular season game lol
Saw this picture in an article by the NY Post. What is up with this womanās fingernails?!? Did she go into her nail salon and ask to have her nails look like sheās replacing head gaskets all day?!?
āThe LCCCā - a very good footlong chili dog from Dream Whip.
So last night I was watching an episode of āBeat Bobby Flayā. His challenger made a āCrab Cake Scotch Eggā. Please someone tell me they know somewhere that has such delicacy on their menu! ššššššš¤¤š¤¤š¤¤š¤¤š¤¤
Do you make any sides with your rotisserie chicken or just start tearing into it like a carnivore?!?
1.1% of my Audience is age 18-24. I will be doing more viral dances in my videos. Iām coming in hot with the Rizz no cap
Happy Pizza - 7.1 decent dog. The chili kinda had a sloppy Joe flavor. Very basic. Not much more I can add here.
January 2024
chili dogs consumed: 13
+Footlongs: 3
Total: 16
Forced to call an audible because my original plan fell through so we went to Sicilian Bella Festa to try their new Detroit style pizza! Along with a footlong chili dog and a SāMores Sundae!! All 3 were amazing. Now Iām done eating for the rest of the weekend!! š«
Iām trying my best to do a proper review for majestic but every time I come here they are closed š¢
What do you consider to be NEPA? How far south and West until youāre no longer in NEPA?
I stand by my original review
Abeās (Barney St) - 9.4 the gold standard for the last 100 years. I love everything about them. When I think of chili dogs, I immediately think Abeās
I wanted to highlight a local business that unfortunately does not have chili dogs on the menu but definitely has great food. This is my 4th time eating here and every time has been excellent. I love any place that baked their own bread. Also for the first time I tried Tres Leches and it was delicious! And in case you donāt habla espanol, Tres Leches translates to Three Leches.
Anyways this brings up a question. What other places bake their own bread in house? Nothing beats fresh baked bread š¤¤ š¤¤š¤¤
That Guy With The Dough - 7.4 Overall itās a good footlong dog. The chili was very tasty and helped boost this score. The dog was overcooked a bit and lacked the snap that I typically look for when I bite in. Now letās talk about pizza! The undercarriage and crust were cooked perfectly. The cheese was a little greasier than I typically care for but definitely had great flavor. I definitely recommend giving this place a try yourself.
Edit: in case it isnāt clear, the score only reflects the chili dog. The pizza I would definitely rank higher
