The Mount Vernon Willing Workers would like to thank everyone who made our monument dedication for four (4) fallen warriors from Mount Vernon, Alabama, a blessed and wonderful day. A special thanks to all who participated in the program, attendees, volunteers, and cooks. Blessings on those donors who paved the way for the purchase of the monument. A very special thanks to our County Commissioner Merceria Ludgood and the Azalea Trail Maids.

Mount Vernon Willing Workers (MVWW) are partnering with Mobile County Health Department (MCHD) and Alabama Coastal Foundation (ACF) in hosting the 35th Anniversary Alabama Coastal Cleanup. Mount Vernon's Alabama Coastal Clean-Up Event is Saturday, September 17th 2022 @ 8:00am-12:00pm. Clean-up supplies and cold water will be provided. We are soliciting VOLUNTEERS from the Mount Vernon Community. Asking all VOLUNTEERS to report and sign-in @ 7:30am to divide up into teams @ the Cleveland A. Flott Community Center 19180 Shepard Lake Mount Vernon AL 36560.
