Angela Fegley - Interior Stylist
Angela Fegley, Interior Stylist I’m passionate about making stylish interiors affordable and accessible to everyone, no matter your budget.
As a self-confessed design ju**ie, I have an eye for style, even as a child. I still have a folder I made when I was 10 with what my dream home would look like.
2016 was a fantastic year for getting out and styling beyond my own personal walls! I had the insane pleasure of working for A-MAZ-ING clients who were fun and willing to follow my (sometimes way out of the box) ideas. I had a blast working on custom furniture pieces, designing one of a kind gallery walls, creating whole house paint palettes and staging a home for sale. I went antique shopping with clients turned friends and found that one killer piece that sets the tone for everything else. I learned on the fly how to install heavy duty wall anchors without a power drill (I was sweating thru that one) and had way too much fun personal shopping (I may or may not have cried over passing on great pieces to a client instead of keeping for myself.) In the end, the best part was helping clients figure out what their design dreams were and helping them to realize when you love what you have, you have everything you need! Onwards to 2017...
My hydrangeas are going bananas right now. Don't overlook the value of cut flowers in the styling of your home!
It's been a fun couple of days working with new clients who put their trust in me to think a little outside the box in accessorizing their gorgeous home! We made our rounds at Barrett Street Auction Center and came away with some real gems! It's not even my house but I was giddy when it all came together. It's about the creativity y'all!
This beauty has been lovingly painted and happily installed into a client's new dining room. So fun to work with such gorgeous curves!
Unlike milk, it's okay to cry over spilt paint...especially when it is down the front of your favorite pair of jeans. The show must go on...there's a beautiful, tall legged, Hepplewhite buffet for a client half painted screaming to be finished.
For the love of color! Have a powder room that is small and dark? Add a dreamy, grayish dark blue (like Benjamin Moore's Van Deusen Blue) and instantly have a space with dimension and elegance. Looking for a polished and modern kitchen? A creamy gray (Sherwin Williams Amazing Gray) will give the space more depth than white would. Have a room meant for rest and relaxation for you or your guests? A spa like green (think Rainwashed by Sherwin Williams) will set the just right tone.
Working on my sketching. A little rusty (that's a mighty big drawer.) For my own personal spaces, I tend to sketch while working out my ideas. It's fun to go back through old papers and see the evolution of design.
Paint! Paint! Paint! Don't be afraid of paint. Purple paint in honor of Prince (my musical hero!) No, I wouldn't paint a room purple...well, who am I kidding, yes I would - it's on trend for 2016 and is pretty awesome in the correct shade, in the right space. Paint is a foolproof way to inexpensively and dramatically change the look of your home. HERE'S MY HOT TIP...Sherwin Williams is having one of their awesome 40% off paint sales through April 25. If you are not sure about your color sense, I will quickly help you take advantage of this amazing deal (that only happens a couple times a year).
Rugs are a really important part of a room, and a lot of times, people treat them as an after thought. They are so important because they define a room, so what's better than one rug? A few! I am loving the layered rug look lately. Adding a fresh new look to a client's room by layering in rugs. A little boho, a little glam, a lot fun!

Transformed a small scale, children's diaper table into a slightly shabby, bedside set of drawers. This otherwise, set to go to trash, covered in markers and crayons piece, is now full of charm and character.
Part of my interior stylist bag of tricks is furniture refinishing. Think outside of the box. I especially love hunting in junk store for pieces with beautiful lines and character, just waiting for some love!
A client looking for ideas on making the bedroom a more feminine, chic space. A luxurious, neutral palette, chock full of texture, shine, metallics and an irresistibly charming art piece. Are you so bold as to go bull?
