On April 13, the Lord took my beloved dad home.
It still feels like a shock. I miss him everyday, but I’m so grateful for the time that we got to spend together. Throughout my dad’s life he didn’t know Jesus. It became a pressing urgency for me to continue to share the gospel with him as he was getting more ill. I felt like I was taking on the burden of trying to save him then the Lord told me, “Tiffany, I know you love him, but I love him so much more than you ever could.” In that moment I surrendered it over to God and knew that I could trust in Him. During the last few months of his life he became more curious to know who Jesus was and what He did for us. He one day asked me “Tiffany, why are you Christian?” I told him “Dad, it’s brought me supernatural peace and joy that I’ve only experienced walking with Jesus.” In his final moments that I got to spend with him I prayed over him, sang worships songs, read scripture with him, and led him to Jesus. My dad’s salvation was a lifelong prayer that was finally answered. His life is a testament of the beautiful relentless pursuit that the Lord has for our souls. I have comfort and peace knowing that my dad rests with the Lord now. I know that I will get to see him again one day.
