Northwestern University's Chapter of the Society of Women Engineers

The Northwestern University SWE chapter, founded in 1976, includes graduate and undergraduate female and male engineers interested in making a change both on and off the campus. Through various hosted events SWE members build relationships and networks with other female engineers and scientists, developing their skills in leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal relationships.

This is SWE's biggest outreach event of the year where over 250 middle and high school girls come to Tech and spend a day doing design activities and getting a better idea of what engineering is! Volunteers will help with design challenges, engineering activities, or es**rt the girls through Tech on lab tours! You'll also get a free t-shirt and lunch! Nielson Info Session & Resume Review Opportunity:

Nielsen will be recruiting and looking for students to join as Associates of their Operations and Technology Emerging Leaders Program (OTLP) and Emerging Technologists Program (ETP). They will be hosting an information session on Jan 24th, and will be looking to see potential recruits at this event.

To prepare students to present the best version of their resumes this recruiting season, they will be offering resume reviews from January 8th-18th. SWE's Mentor-Mentee Program matches freshman and new transfers with students in their sophomore, junior, or senior year of engineering. This program provides mentors with the opportunity to build a meaningful relationship with their mentee, and give them valuable advice as they adjust to Northwestern. There will be special Mentor-Mentee SWE events each quarter, and even a chance for you and your mentor/mentee to win a giftcard!
