Life gets easier once you realize your way isn't the only way.

It took me this long to realize that if you're down and depressed, listening to depressing music just because you can relate is probably the worst thing you can do. The music you listen to influences your behaviour and outlook on life. All I listen to is music that inspires me to do better. The goal is to get out of the slump you're in, not to just be satisfied with the fact someone else is going through the same stuff. Find the solution instead of feeling sorry for yourself.
