The very same day the hospital fired me, well they say they separated from mešŸ˜‚, ok, I received the call that I was one of class for the 2021 EIU Distinguished Alumni Award. I didnā€™t even share any of this back then. I was injured in 2019 and my career ended, I thought, with a resounding thud. I had shame and pain and I felt I had failed. I was wounded. As my son would tell me, I had to find fierce again. It took cancer, 10 surgeries, a post op infection for months, vertigo, vestibular migraines, a meningioma and lymphedema to take me down. I couldnā€™t before. Then on to Oncology Food Chaining. I am almost done with it. Getting ready to record. Trying to learn about how to create a YouTube channel too. Books. Hope. In other words, I am not done yet. This is to you, Dr Augustine, with mu

Fraker "Steven" A Case Study Initial Stage of Treatment: Steven will now be followed by the team every 6-8 weeks. The team will update his food chains and his educational/therapy program as needed. Steven will continue to receive occupational and speech therapy services at locally. Team will also consult with medical providers. Additional Evaluation with Dietitian: Please provide us with a three day food log. Stevenā€™s nutritional status will be evaluated via a three day food log to determine if he has a balanced schedule of intake or if appetite is impacted by liquid intake. Team stressed the need to shape meals and snacks and schedule liquid intake. Modifications if needed may serve to help Steven move to a schedule that will make him more motivated to try new foods and liquids. Concerns: Steven has a history of vomiting or gagging and reluctance to eat in the morning; this may be indicative of some kind of esophageal discomfort or esophagitis secondary to silent reflux or allergy. It is recommended that Steven should be seen for a full nutritional evaluation. Parent should work to encourage intake of calorically dense drinks vs. water/juice. The Food Chaining program will address liquids as well as foods. Team suggested that Steven be encouraged to drink milk, milkshakes with carnation instant breakfast or eat something regularly in the AM h
