I've been scanning some old negatives from Tokoroa Speedway taken by André Ruiterman, part of a big project I'm working on. Just wondering if Tokoroa used to publish a printed programme? Does anyone have one as I'd like to put some names to the cars in the photos. The photos below from December 17, 1972 meeting including 5s Frank Pierce, 25t Kevin Bates, 76a Evan Watson and 99m saloon of Trevor Gray.
If you have never attended a Winged Thunder at Harrisville it is something you should put on your bucket list. This Easter Sunday gates open at 10am racing starts at 12. Not only is the venue unique, watching the sprint car circuiting 4 wide is breathtaking. It is a credit to Brent Harris and his small amount of helpers to put on such a top notch show. I know Pete will be there in spirit because he loved this event and Harrisville. Have a fabulous weekend to everyone involved and may the weather gods be nice.
