This weeks belt goes to the 3 guys who touch the ball on almost every play! Clayton Meagrow, Hayden Keith, and Connor Dawson. In wet field conditions we did our best job all season of securing the football all night!

Unofficially it looks like Connor has broken our single season rushing record!

Congratulations Collins! We will host a playoff game next week!

Felt good to get the belt back out this week! This weeks winner is Jon Kerby for his 3rd quarter interception that led to a touchdown. Jon is another one of those unsung heroes that is having a great season!

We are excited to announce our honorary big play of the night belt winner is Mrs. Sarah Johannsen Beck! The countless hours she puts in behind the lens for all of our students is remarkable! It is people like her who make Western Reserve great! Thank you Mrs. Beck!

This week our belt goes to the heart and soul of our team, Mason Kinney and Braxton Balog. These two are our guards and inside linebackers and have been great leaders in every aspect of our team. I could find you plays each and every week that are belt worthy for these two but it seemed fitting to hand them the belt on black jersey night. These two young men, along with the other Seniors, spearheaded the project to get the black uniforms. They created a presentation and put themselves out there in front of businesses and community members asking them to help fund the purchase of black jerseys for their Senior year. Yes our skilled guys get most of the publicity but without these two we probably aren’t sitting where we are right now. We are very proud of the first half of our season and are excited to keep pushing forward!

Our big play of the night goes to Rylee Supeck! In a game that needed a quick start he provided great down blocks and multiple TFL’s to help get us rolling!

We have a couple honorary big play of the summer belt winners from the past week! The amount of time, blood, sweat, and tears they put into these stadium renovations is unbelievable! We can never thank them enough for everything they did this summer to be ready! Thank you Tim and John!

In a game that doesn’t have one giant play but lots of huge plays we made the belt plural this week and handed it out to 4 players!

Our big play of the night goes to Connor Dawson! Everyone knows without the big boys up front ( Podraski, Balog, Meagrow, Kinney, French, Supeck, Kerby) all these yards wouldn’t be possible but Connor also does a great job of getting extra yards as well! For the big 2 point conversion and the win we voted “Dawson” the Big Play of the Night!

Congratulations to Brexton Fraelich on earning our week 1 Big Play of the Night Belt for his great touchdown catch on the last play of the first half! It was a huge momentum swing in the game and jump started a great second half!

We would like to thank Roughrider football allum Mr. Sean Moore for his very generous donation that really got the ball rolling on this adventure for our stadium renovations! Our players had the opportunity to meet him and listen to his message for our community!

Flag football information is out!

It's almost time for the WR Flag Football season. All students who will be in 2nd through 6th grade this coming school year are welcome to register. Fill out the attached registration form and return it by August 24th. Practices and games will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting 9/5. More info. to follow soon.

Update for tonight. Although they are beautiful we will be going with a look but don’t touch plan tonight as our final inspection isn’t complete. Please bring a lawn chair and an appetite for some football and good food!

Another huge shoutout to our custodians for the help getting the game field ready to go for our 7 on 7 tomorrow night! Also a huge thank you to Katie Conley Clark for keeping our field house clean the past few years! She leaves us on Friday.
