The Villein project is a science fiction series targeted toward young adults and up. Villein. n. A lot can happen in eight years.

It's been a busy few months. I had thought I would be completing the short story I have been working on for most of this year: Techeresse, however, all of a sudden it was October. I then remembered that I wanted to do something holiday-themed, so I shelved it temporarily.
The project is E.L.F. a story meant to be explored in volumes and released each holiday season. I'm thinking it will be published via blog so that there will be much fewer hoops to jump through in order to get it out there.
The overall goal is to look at holiday traditions, connectedness, and the spirit of giving.
So, please look forward to its release before Christmas.
Cheers,
Brian

Quick update: I've closed the website I had originally set up for Villein. So any updates to new stories will be posted here. If you're interested in how these stories come about, I encourage you to join the Dokusha group.

Big news. Villein: Pyffanye will be available for sale next month. Pyffanye will be the first of a series of short stories that will explore different environments and relationships within the Villein universe. Stay tuned for the official launch event.
I've been pretty busy and have not had the time I would like to spend on Villein Arryuaile, there is still a ton of editing to resolve. However, I had started a new project within the Villein Universe that is a bit less time intensive. There will be a number of short stories to help define characters and environments. Pyffanye - "Epiphany" is now ready to go.
I'm looking for some reader feedback, if you are interested, it's less than ten pages long. Please send an email.
Dokusha has secured an artist for the Arryuaile book cover and illustrations. The first illustration should be available next week. Anyone who correctly guesses the crest to be revealed will receive a free copy of the art. (The options are: Lindley, Wolves' Den, Cristal Marsh, Solitude, Llwyn Onnen, Bastion de Terre, Chateau du Sable, and Calliou).
Once I have a website, most of the updates will end up there. In the meantime, if you have questions or want to read part of the manuscript, just let me know!
On Thursday 20th August 2015, Dokusha LLC, was given the opportunity to publish with Green Ivy Publishing. The book Villein Arryuaile (Arr-I-vayle), is the first in a series. The main character Sumi Harusame, heads into eight years of compulsory service due to an intergalactic treaty. What she discovers as she begins challenges her both mentally and physically. Instead of a role that supports clients of a medieval virtual reality, she can do far more, and finds that this privilege comes with a price. A game is afoot; those already in control will stop at nothing to remove her from her role.
The World of Villein
The Villein series is a collection of works that follow different characters before, during, or after their service experience.
