A little project from when I was procrastinating folding laundry 😁

Switched out our runner to warm up our kitchen with some fall colors 🍁 🍂 I love a bold rug. ❤️

Spent some time shopping my home and rearranging this morning, and now our guest room feels much more inviting! Plus, this room has the best light of the house and my poor baby FLF wasn’t doing so well in its previous spot. Now this room is ready for another round of guests! ☺️

When we go hiking, my husband and I will sometimes leave a small stack of rocks as a little monument to our time there (swipe to see the ones we left on the Big Sur coast last year). So when I saw this small stack at the store I had to get them - I’m not a particularly sentimental person, but I love details that have personal meaning. What do you have in your home with personal meaning to you?

Good morning ☀️ Ready for a lazy morning on this couch with cartoons and coffee ☕️😊

Hello, Friday! I’ve been waiting for you. Getting ready to have one more houseguest this weekend and next week I’m gonna crash 😴 What are your big plans?

Thinking of this bright corner on a rainy day. I still can’t find a chair I love for this space, but for now my monstera is loving this sunny spot. 🌧

Feeling a bit fancy having an actual dining room. ☺️ I’m slightly obsessed with this modern oval table and vintage vase, both from

👋 Heyyy👋

It’s been a while. Our life has changed a lot over the past couple years, including becoming a family of 6 and moving across the country. I’m doing very little (ok, zero) woodworking right now, but a whole lot of thrifting, small DIY projects, and decorating, and I’m really enjoying getting to put together our home. So for now that’s what I’m going to be sharing on here. Thanks for following along ☺️

Oh, hey 👋 I’m still here! Life has been crazy this year and we’re finally settling in here in California. I’m taking it slow this year to give our family a much needed break, but for now here’s a picture of my Dahlia hanging in her new space (previously featured in ).

Exciting news - Grace + James is coming to Monterey, CA in just a couple months! I still have a few wood-art pieces available through in Denver, CO before we make the move, so hurry over to www.guesthouseshop.com/art to claim them for your own before I pack them up to make the move (further) West! ❤️ @ Denver, Colorado

Didn’t she style this cabinet perfectly? 😍 🤤

And that’s a wrap for barn doors for the next few months! I love this Chevron style, and I really love how it looks in this room! Home was styled by and door was installed by House Doctors of Colorado Springs.

Installed this custom-designed shelf to hold the cable box under a mounted television and minimize the wires running down the wall. Happy customers make me happy!

I am loving the way this large round dining table was styled! Gold + white + white oak = ❤️

I missed the whole window, so here is my favorite piece from the past year!

I have been quiet for the past couple weeks because Christmas was crazy busy and I needed to recover a bit before posting a few announcements:

For 2019, we are anticipating a couple major life changes to happen one right after the other: an out-of-state move, and the arrival of baby #4! We are so excited for these blessings, but I also have to slow down quite a bit for the next couple months.

Don’t worry, I am not disappearing! But that being said, my business will have to change for a period of time. One change is that I will need to stop taking large orders for the time being. Small items may be possible on a case-by-case basis, so please feel free to reach out to me about those.

I will continue to post updates here and there, and will probably start looking for referrals in or new community once we move. Thank you for all your support and love, friends ❤️

ETA: This does NOT affect anyone who already has put in a paid deposit! Your orders are still coming! Just no new large orders 🙂

We delivered this modern, 72” round table to its new home just in time for Christmas dinner! Quartersawn white oak finished with Pure to make the grain pop. The thought of 10 people gathering together around this table to enjoy a good meal and each other’s company brings me so much happiness.

That closes out the year for G+J, and I just want to say THANK YOU to each one of you who have let me create a piece for your home, especially the pieces like these that will be used to make memories. It means more to me than you can know. ❤️

Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

I’m dying to share this huge dining table with you guys, but it’s so pretty I want to keep it a secret until my client sees it in person first. But here’s a sneak peek at the white oak top with Pure Oil. 🤩

Baby, it’s cold outside! 🥶Therefore I am NOT working in the garage today. Working on some samples and quotes in my nice warm house instead 😊

Delivered this bathroom vanity and some floating shelves this morning, and look what a difference it made! From now on all orders must be white oak because I’m in love with this grain. Ok, just kidding. Kind of. 😉

And can we just take a moment to admire the gorgeous tile in my client’s bathroom? 😍
