The American Diner has always fascinated me. They are littered across the sprawling American interstates and there aren't many places where you can find such a mélange of humanity. Walk into any diner 24 hours a day and you'll find people from all walks of life, meeting the common need that ties all of us together. The diner transcends background, religion and even socioeconomic status. In a broader sense, these strange, humble, unassuming little eateries connect our stories as the American diner is an analogy for the place we all meet between life and death. This fun, upbeat song is an attempt to capture that concept with the stories of those I carry with me from my own life experience.
