Amazon.com: DSLR Cameras

I was having a discussion with someone about what's better: a full frame camera with an average lens or a fast lens on an average cropped camera body.

Here are my thoughts:

I would only considering upgrading to a full frame body once I have a pretty decent lineup of lenses. It's better to have a better glass than a better camera body. That is, it's better to have a fast glass in a beginner camera than have a full frame camera with an average lens.

Once you have a great lens, you pretty much keep it for years and maybe never replace it. However, a better camera body with more features, better ISO, etc. is being released on a regular basis. And there's always going to be that desire for that newer camera body.

I would invest in a fast glass for the full frame mount and then eventually upgrade to a full frame body once I have a fast glass (f2.8) on the wide end (16-40mm range), normal zoom (24-70mm range), and a telephoto zoom (70-200mm range). The lens lineup would depend on what kind of photography is being done.

Sony Alpha a6300 Mirrorless Digital Camera with 16-50mm Lens

Has anyone here ever tried doing nightclub photography using a mirrorless digital camera such as the Sony a6300 and an external flash for it? How did it go?

I've been considering mirrorless cameras, but I've got a pretty good lineup of Canon glass (17-40mm f/4L, 24-70mm f/2.8L, 24-105mm f/4L IS, and 70-200mm f/2.8L IS) that I can't really make a switch.
