Guardians Of Andromeda

After what has felt like an age, which it probably has been, we finally have some good news. We have some mixes of various songs we are now happy with and can now crack on properly with getting this album completed. It has been a long road weve had to walk but to do justice to everything the way that was envisioned?...it is something that cannot be rushed. otherwise we do nothing more than betray ourselves, our craft and our vision. In the next few weeks I will put up a sneak preview of what one of the tracks will sound like on the album and We hope you feel the same impact as we do

The walls have fallen, The charge will sound,
The thunder of hooves shall tear at the ground,
In blazing hellfire, the shadow we vanquish,
To rise upon high, beyond fear, beyond anguish.

Hello my friends, apologies that it has been a while since weve posted on here. Due to hectic goings on and various wotnots we have been a bit lapse in keeping in contact...but we have some news!
As you know, we were aiming to release a double album this year, but after much diliberation amoungst the brothers we feel this is no longer feasable.
Due to various members commitments its becoming increasingly difficult to meet to write and record. So we believe the best thing to do is split the album and release pt 1 this year and the 2nd part at a later date. That way we can get the fruit of our labours out to you this year as planned and not try to rush and compromise the quality of the material.
So part 1 of the beyond the black horizon will be due to release this year and features the "andromedan trilogy" concept part of the album which tells the story of the fall and rise of mankind and its battle to free itself from its own corruption. There will also be lots of other songs telling various tales from the andromedan story archives so it is going to be a worth first part of a larger story.
we thank you from the deepest recesses of our hearts and souls for your continued support and messages, as soon as we have more news we will be in touch.

Some sad news im afraid my friends, due to issues with the venue the guardians wont be playing at the metal gods festival on the 30th. Here is the latest update from mick the beard of metal gods:
"IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Due to issues with the venue this event will now be scaled down and re packaged, we are contacting all bands and paying guests.

New line up and details will be posted as soon as week sort this, very sorry its beyond our control but we will have something for people to see"

just a quick update on the upcoming album release date. We were hoping to have the new album ready for our show this month at club serpent but unfortunately unforseen circumstances of a personal nature have slowed progress somewhat. But the good news is as of next week its lances down and kicking our heels into full battle charge!
So our new release date is aiming to be around the end of may, hopefully in time for you to be able to purchase from us at our metal gods show or from our online store.
It will be available as mp3 but i would highly recommend buying an original cd copy, basically because it is going to look as sexy as a b***y barmaiden with a winning smile leaning over to place down your ale, or a strong studdly long haired warrior type chap practicing his swordplay all sweaty like..whatever is your preference.

As i stood alone in the face of the oncoming storm, i closed my eyes and listened to the song of the wind..and its voice said to me
"You shall go forth to the realm of mortal men, and unleash metal hell upon the masses in the form of two shows to give a nice sneaky preview of the album"...and when the wind tells you to do something, you bloody well do it!
So my friends, this coming april and may the guardians will be playing two shows as a glimpse into the new album material which hopefully will be there with us by that time for your purchasing pleasure. The shows will be as follows:

20th april - club serpent london (venue to be announced)

31st may - metal gods, (the intake, mansfield)

lords and ladies, this is but a quick post during a respite from recording just so i can share my rather childish glee at what i'm listening too...This album has been a long time coming, in truth its been years in the making to get the material written and everything crafted the way we want it too be. But now as we start to lay down the final versions and parts of the songs things are taking shape. But my main source of overthemooness is hearing the choirs slowly coming together and sounding incredible! various talented singer types, friends of old are lending their musical prowess to the cause and the culmination is nothing short of epicepic....yes indeed, so epic i had to say it twice!
Thats all for now, i just wanted to share my happiness with you out there in heavy metal land.

NEWS OF A VERY ANDROMEDAN NATURE!!

finally we have deadlines and rough release dates for the new album!!!
gather round folks and i'll tell thee the plan...heres what were gonna do..

all songs will be written by the end of this year to be recorded in january and february. The album release month will be april 2014 with an album release party to mark this new chapter in andromedan metal!! Details will follow soon.
Not long now my friends...it seems so long but if you're going to do something special then there are no shortcuts. This will be our crowning musical achievement, and we cant wait to share it with you xx \m/ xx

So my little power metal lovelies, just a quick update from the guardians camp! Artwork is currently being designed for the upcoming album and i must say its looking rather epically handsome and marvellous. Only a few more tracks to go so now ive got my arse in gear all should be on course for the new year!

Just a quick update and jolly good news...there are only 3 more songs to write now and demo before we start recording the full studio versions for the double album!!!..HURRAH,HUZZAH and maybe a whoopee for good measure!
So this is the plan. We hope to have writing fully finished by end of october, then start tracking come november with everything aiming to be done by your festive season. Cant tell you how glad i am that the end is in sight and that very soon we can deliver into your hands and ears a guardians musical maelstrom of epic proportions!

Well hello there you beautiful metal brothers and sisters of ours!
We apologies it has been a long time since we have updated you with any news about whats been going on in the guardians camp....But we are back in the musical saddle once again and are charging in full throttle with swords drawn aiming to get the album finished before your christmas time for release in the new year.
Where and what have we been doing you may ask?....well pretty much the same as you lovely fellows, for we heard that here on earth you occasionally have a thing called "summer time" which seems to appear once in a millenia in this neck of the woods so we decided to make the most of it ;) In truth a short break was needed to sit back and recharge and come back with a fresh perspective on the new material, and back we are. Today i was very priveledged to have in the Studio with myself the amazing vocal talents of marianne harrington from the band silent divide, who's voice has added an extra dimension and scope to the recordings with beautiful harmonies, and she will also be our choice of duet partner....for as you know, We do love a duet :)
So fear not, for things are underway again and the end is in sight. The demo tracks are sounding immense and i must say (call it bigheaded if you like, but hey a man can be proud now and then?) i smile and grin like an idiot when cranking them up loud and attempt to lay siege to my own hearing apparatus!
I will try and update you more often, but generally when songwriting possesses myself i do tend to forget the rest of the world exists and lose myself whole heartidly in it. Our website is undergoing a re-design and should hopefully be back up online soon. we shall keep you informed

Greetings and our most metal salutations to you all out there in the realm that is earth! Our humblest apologies for how quiet we have been on here, but all efforts have been going into the album at present and minds and bodies have been preoccupied with concentrating on creating our masterwork.
Now the frustrating news i have to bring is that the deadline of a july finish for the album is not going to be achieved. The main reason for this is that to realise the vision of these songs there has had to be much reworking and more effort put in than ever before. We could just rush it all and come out with a substandard double album but i personally would never forgive myself for doing so. I/we are not a band who like to have "filler" songs, we like every song to have something special and on the last listen through be seated with grins of monumental magnitude on our faces...that is the bar we set, that is what we aim to achieve!
so please indulge us with your patience. The symphonies and tales we have for this recording so far are by far our greatest work to date. The music has evolved and has more elements and darkness than our last album. There is more scope, more emotion and from my personal view a greater and deeper opening of myself into the writing.
I will try and update as often as i can when we have decent news to report. In the meantime, stay true, stay metal, conquer your enemies and defend all that you hold dear! our deepest gratitude to you all...\m/
