Wine Country to the Rescue Charity Dinner Dance Fundraiser
The annual Wine Country to the Rescue event will be on July 20th. This is a great opportunity to not only have a fantastic time but also help our Northern Sonoma County Firefighters and community. Earthquake Disaster (Rescue) Simulation Happening at Expo. May 19th, from 10:20 to 11:45 am, at Cloverdale Citrus Fairgrounds.
Northern Sonoma County Fire District, Cloverdale Fire, CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) volunteers, and CART (Community Animal Response Team) volunteers will jointly train to rescue simulated injured humans and animals. Basic CERT training is currently a hybrid of online and in-person training, with the completion of the online course required first. The next in-person CERT training will be held in Bodega Bay in March.

The fourth annual Fire and Earthquake Safety Expo will be at the Cloverdale Citrus Fairgrounds, on Sunday, May 19th and bigger than before. The Expo is Sonoma County’s largest in-person emergency preparedness event. This year we have added more activities for you to enjoy and experience;
• Henry 1 & Sonoma County 1 helicopter demonstrations
• 75 exhibits
• Simulated overturned bus and animal rescues
• Kid's races
• And more.

Congratualtions to our new CERT volunteers
Basic CERT training was held on January 27 and 28, 2024 at the Windsor Community Center. CERT provides training in how to prepare for and respond to disasters, so residents can help each other and assist professional responders during disasters. Over the weekend, Northern Sonoma County CERT hosted a Basic CERT Training, and would like to thank everyone who took part. Your commitment to acquiring skills for community service in times of disaster is truly inspiring. A special acknowledgment goes out to the dedicated volunteers whose support makes these trainings possible. A huge CERT shout-out to NC707 "PrepCulture" Nuestra Comunidad for their valuable support in making this training happen.
