Grateful to be able to do dialysis is the comfort of my own home!
Hello,
My name is Robert Williams and I'm living with Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD), a genetic disorder that gradually leads to kidney failure. As a father of three and a proud grandfather of two wonderful granddaughters, this condition has made daily life a significant challenge. The relentless cycle of doctor's appointments, hours spent on dialysis, and multiple surgeries has not only taken a toll on me but also on my beloved family. Despite the challenges, I am incredibly grateful for their unwavering support.
Currently, I am in the process of trying to get on The United Network for Organ Sharing and Organ Procurement Transplant Network at Atrium Health Transplant Center in Charlotte NC. Unfortunately, due to the lengthy and complex procedure, it's taking much longer than anticipated. This page was created with a single, heartfelt purpose: to find a living kidney donor, a true angel, who can help me regain my health and once again provide for my family.
I will be documenting my progress throughout this journey, and I would greatly appreciate it if you could share this page with as many people as possible. Your support and willingness to spread the word could bring the miracle I've been waiting for. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
