Dear members of the Ultimate community,
Raffles Ultimate would like to pledge ourselves to . It may have come to your knowledge through an ongoing campaign that there has been an increase in dangerous play and bad bids displayed by members of the Ultimate community. These bad bids have resulted in several casualties, with the latest one happening during the league last weekend where there was a bad bid when a female player was going for a strike
Frisbee is a ‘non-contact’ sport - regardless of the level of competition, and it has always been that way. Any form of dangerous contact before, during or after a play is illegal (Rule 17.1. Dangerous Play). Players are expected to avoid dangerous play and contact at all times, upholding the spirit of the game.
We strongly support this campaign and our hearts go out to all those injured by dangerous plays. We hope that this incident can unite our Ultimate Frisbee community together to ensure that we keep this sport safe and enjoyable for everyone to play.
