Happy First of July!

As most of us are enjoying the summer, vacationing, and shuttling our kids to and from, we wanted to pause and recognize a group that is near and dear to our hearts, especially to our CEO and co-founder, Jean Ross, RN. Jean has been a Dementia Champion for over 8 years with Dementia Friends Indiana.

Dementia Friends Indiana aims to educate communities about dementia, reduce the stigma associated with it, and implement practical changes to improve the lives of those with dementia and their loved ones.

5 Key Things To Remember:
1. Dementia is not a normal part of aging.
2. Dementia is caused by diseases of the brain.
3. Dementia is not just about having memory problems.
4. It is possible to have a good quality of life with dementia.

I was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. Despite dementia, I'm still living a full life. I just completed the last of 44 infusions, and whatever the doctors determine about my progress, I'm proof it is possible to live well with dementia.
