SLEO Project development.. So hello all and I hope those that are following SLEO are all in good health and having a prosperous and eventful year this year. It has been a long while since our last update, the prototyping process is a GREAT learning experience. Since we have been bootstrapping this operation progress has been slow, but we have been making consistant steps in developing our initial product. And yes you WILL love it. Our latest redesign builds on the functionality of the initial prototype but will be adding even more in terms of added benefits, ease of use, and functionalty.. Once we have unveiled our new prototype, we will be doing some croud funding to get this into production and into market.

Shangri-La Expedition Outfitters is dedicated to developing innovative and quality outdoor equipment and services. We design and manufacture our product lines with the highest sustainable standards. INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY:

We need your help!! We are a brand-spanking new company. We have a very large list of product and service lines that are in development. Our maiden product is in stage 2 prototype development and is scheduled to be released for production the beginning of April this year (2013)! You are probably wondering what it is.. Well... it's secret!! However I will tell you that our target market groups will include: backpackers, mountaineers, campers, adventure racers, bicycle tourists, car-trippers, and even emergency first responders!!

We strongly believe that in the US, corporate culture has become uncaring, oppressive, inefficient, wasteful, abusive, and corrupt in general. We want to be the antithesis of the failed modern US business culture. We want to foster a creative environment for problem-solving, product development, and marketing. As our team grows we will be offering some form of ownership to those that choose to make their careers with SLEO because we want to commit to those that commit to us. We don't want 'employees'.. we want business owners, where everyone involved has a shared stake and interest. We believe that those working and sacrificing to help build should be the ones that are rewarded.

3) Candidates that pass initial screening will be asked to submit a 5 min you-tube video response to a given question, have a phone interview, and then a follow-up phone interview. Responsibilities
- Provide research on potential and existing clients and the competitive landscape
- Managing and following up on digital marketing campaigns
- Assist in identifying potential business opportunities
- Monitor news and developments relating to, or impacting, key clients/prospects
- Prepare periodic reports on screening, tracking, and monitoring clients and prospects
- Assist with creating/editing documents such as business plans, marketing strategies and proposals.
- Establish and maintain relationships with multiple large retailers for distribution.
- Assist with online promotions by presenting our products and various how-to videos.
- Travel to key events to actively promote products.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies.
- Assist current management (me) with developing and implementing social media campaigns, and help maintain social media points of contact.
- Help build, as growth permits, a sales/marketing team to also participate in outdoor activities such as adventure racing, trekking, camping and other travel events.
- Develop marketing and retailing for other non-US markets such as Europe, Asia. etc.
- HAVE FUN!!
Requirements
- Ability to work in a self directed environment and collaborate effectively as a team member
- Ability to communicate at all levels with internal/external clients by phone, email and face to face
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, and Power Point)
- A positive can-do attitude with good organizational, presentation and writing skills
- Pursuing a Bachelors Degree or equivalent education

Aditional language skills is an added bonus as we will be marketing to other markets outside the U.S.
