THE FLOOD AFTERMATH: AIT RISES AGAIN

(2011 AIT Flood Ten-Year Anniversary)

23 October 2021

Every crisis comes with a golden opportunity, and this great calamity in 2011 has indeed provided AIT with an opportunity to reinvent itself for a new life.

In the aftermath of the floods, the AIT community faced one of its most challenging and trying periods in its history. The daunting task of the AIT Administration was to renovate a campus that was damaged to a point where many declared “it could never be rescued”.

Most importantly, the campus rehabilitation had to be carried out in many phases, so as not to disrupt the continued academic activities in the campus. It took over five years of understanding, patience, and solidarity among AIT faculty, staff, students, and other stakeholders to mitigate flood disaster impacts, restore, rejuvenate, and modernize the entire AIT campus. Today, the spirit of AIT continues to rise in its dedication to educating future leaders and contributing to the future sustainability of mankind.

Variants v. Vaccines 08/02/2021

A VERY RESOURCEFUL ARTICLE FROM THOMAS PUEYO - The Race: Variant v. Vaccine.

8 February 2021

The Race between the Tortoise and the Hare

2021 promised to save us. The vaccines were finally here. It was a matter of time. Then B117 arrived, exploded in England, collapsed its healthcare system, and spread across the world.

Each country is now in a race between new variants—the English one, the South African one, and the Brazilian one—and mass vaccinations to stop them. What will happen in your country? Will it be saved by vaccines? Or will it suffer like the UK a new wave of deaths?
