Blessing Hollow Farm
This place is our blessing. It is our refuge from the world. A place to ease the burdens of our soul.
A place where our family can grow and just live life to the fullest.
Has anyone ever ordered chickens, or turkeys from a mail hatchery?
Or if anyone had any chickens or a rooster they want to give away.
Since all of our beloved goats and Bubba pig had passed away, we are wanting to start slowly rebuilding the farm flock again.
Looking for 2 or 3 free hens for a lonely rooster...
There’s no way God told Noah to put 2 stink bugs on that boat.
Blessing Hollow would like to introduce our new king of Goat Mountain.
Everyone meet Huck.....as in Huck Finn. He already has one escape and adventure under his belt.
We are still looking for any free goats, if anyone wants to thin out their herd.
We are looking to add to our farm. If anyone has any farm animals= goats, sheep, lions, gorillas, etc they want to give away to a good home.
no cats or dogs, we have our bag limit with those. haha
When Noel is mad because she can not have my supper. She just sits and looks ticked off, watching every bite.
When Bama the farm dog will not let you rest in peace. You move to the top of the carport
Anyone around Oneonta have a rooster they want to give away, ours decided to clock out permanently.?
When you find raw bacon laying around outside.
He Gone….
If dog tired was a picture.

Kids doing the reading challenge this month. Today was read to your pet. In my oldest daughters words
“ most kids are posting pictures reading to cats or dogs. Not my kids, not only are they reading to goats, they are reading to photogenic goats.” I love are little life where the grand daughter insists that the farmers almanac is the best book in the house to read to the goats.
Reading with goats is a thing now!
We would not trade anything on our farm life. Our little slice of country provides just the perfect amount of peace to balance out the hustled pace on life.
Some days it is sad and tough. Yesterday we found one of our first set of twins born here dead, our Little Dixie.
Bama thinks all these storms is good napping weather.
Snow on the farm.
The farm is looking for a new addition . Anyone got a young Emu that is for adoption?
6 weeks ago, as you know our boy Bama was hit by a car. He had a broken rear leg. Bama had surgery, the vet placed a rod in his bone. For 6 weeks, Ol Bama had to be in a kennel with very few outings.
We are proud to say the bone has healed and the rod was removed.
Bama is now back on full farm protection duty with no restrictions.
Something new to play on in goat village.
All is Goat’n good around the farm today. Just enjoying the milder temps, watching the sunset, listening to the chirps of the crickets and birds. This is our solace from the chaos, our refuge from ugly people. This is homebase for our journey in life. There was a lot of pain, blood, tears and sacrifice for this parcel of earth we call a blessing.
The end of the day here at the farm. Yard is done. Goats, chickens and pig fed and watered. Blessed day just purging the soul.
Busy day on the farm. Lawnmowr fixed and running. Now just got to figure how to get a bolt off to replace a broke blade it is rounded and i dont have a cutting blade or torch.
All water troughs cleaned out good and fresh water. All animals fed.
Big event of the day, it was goat worming day. Which means ol fat farmer had to catch each one and drench them. I am old, out of shape and goats are fast. Got em done all alone though. Need to learn how to lasso.
Calling it a dog-gone day!!!!
A relaxing foggy morning on the farm.
Our ol friend ChickenDawg has died. The other roosters are crowing in his honor tonight.
