More Important Than Talent | Mental Toughness | Changing the Game Project
Great advice for athletes who say they really want it.

changingthegameproject.com Parents ask me all the time if I think their child has what it takes to play at the college or professional level. They are asking if I think their kid has enough talent. My reply: “How much are your kids willing to suffer?” The answer to that simple question will go a long way…
I hope everybody is ready and excited for another wrestling season. New head coach Brad Perry, former Snohomish and Boise State wrestler, and math Teacher at Lakeside, has been named head coach and will lead the Eagles through this new era. The team is looking tough this year, and the Eagles couldn't have landed a more qualified, energetic, and Dedicated coach. Congrats coach, and get ready to rumble, Lakeside!
Congrats to Brown and Young for competing in Fargo at the Cadet National Freestyle and Greco Championships. Dalton Young walked away from Greco as a Cadet All-American. Great job boys.
Keep Working.
Hootie Judd and Klint Brown will both be going for third place. Finish scoring boys! I will not be able to update their final match as I am boarding a plane in a few minutes. I'm proud of you boys and very proud of my brother's team, Mt. Spokane. He put three in the finals with another placer. We train together often.
Johnny Flynn wrestled great but will not compete tomorrow for a medal. Outstanding year Johnny!
2nd round at state. Klint and Hootie both win! They will move on to the semi finals tomorrow morning.
1st round at state. Hootie Judd pinned his opponent, and Klint Brown won 4-1. Both will be in the quarter finals at 4:00. Flynn is still alive.
