Tuba Quartet: March Royal by Fred Jewell and Arr. by Peter Smalley
In the midst of social distancing and isolation, we find ourselves unable to perform for the community and our fans. So please enjoy this virtual performance of the Battle Royal March from one of our own bandsmen, SPC Wilkerson!
After 22 years of service to the 145 Army Band, SGT Wilson retires today. He has always been there to perform taps for fallen soldiers when a bugler was needed, and has been a mentor to many of our young bandsmen. Thank you, SGT Wilson!

What a great weekend with great people! We lost and gained an E-6, both with bright futures.
Played at several Veteran's Day performances this weekend. These pics are our Brass Quintet at the Oklahoma History Center and at UCO with our TAG, MG Thompson.
Congratulations are in order for SSG Baker and his new AGR job. He will have to leave the band for the meantime, and this calls for a specially made bronze eagle. We will miss you!!
Happy Veteran’s Day! The 145th Army Band performed God Bless America with the OU pride for veterans appreciation game, and our brass quintet performed at UCO
Happy Veteran's Day all! We will miss performing at the annual 45th Infantry Div. museum today, but Mother Nature had other plans. Stay warm out there!
EJ Hagar, our former Readiness NCO, passed away from ALS complications this past June. I just wanted all former members of the 145th to know if your hadn't already heard. In the words of our former commander, Marty Marks, "He was a wonderful, amazing human being!"
Uhh....
Had a great Drill weekend. Mostly focused on Marching Band and MPTs (small groups). We also had an opportunity to get some new groups started.
Congratulations, WOC McMillian!

So, last night the combo had a gig. We were to play lite background music prior to and during some dignitaries formal walk in. SGT Stanton suggested "When You Wish Upon a Star", which is fitting, considering the organization's logo. We were not through the first chorus and we get the cue from several to stop playing. Immediately one of the patrons rushes over to tell us to play processional music and proceeded to dance and sing a very good rendition of a drum cadence then told the horns, guitar, and bass to play something with that. I drew a total blank. We had nothing. Without pause SGT Ferrell says, "Andy, roll off! When You Wish Upon a Star as a march!"
Dum-dum, Dum-dum, etc., and away we went. We all agreed we need to play that in parades now...
Our jazz band is setting up! Come out and see us at the OKC Arts Festival!
Finally! A trombone that will suit our First Sergeant.
