This month, get to know Diana!

Dental Assistant Diana has had an interest in since childhood. So after graduating from high school, certification was the clear choice for her career path. We’re so glad to have such a dedicated and caring individual in the field, and even more that she’s been a part of our team since 2016. Diana loves what working with the industry-leading technology at Pure Dental Spa makes possible for patients, and being able to set a standard of care not only through creating an exceptional patient experience, but through showing the outcomes that can be achieved with the right treatment. “I love what I do,” she says, “Helping patients with their smiles, making sure they’re comfortable and getting the service they need.”

What she loves most about Pure Dental Spa is being part of a practice that cares— about our patients, our communities, and our team. At work, she’s a kind and welcoming member of our team who puts patients at ease. What an incredible experience this weekend getting out to support the Marklund Run, Walk, and Roll 5K! We’re proud to be a part of the Bloomingdale community, and grateful for this amazing Pure Dental Spa team— always on board to give back however they can. This , we want to shine the PDS Rockstar light on one of our incredible leaders. Jazmin, RDH, our brilliant Director of Hygiene Operations, has been in the field for 20 years. We’ve been lucky to call her part of the Pure Dental Spa team since 2014.

Jazmin began her journey at as a , and has since grown to become not only a member of our leadership team, but our resident Myofunctional Therapist as well. She found while searching for university courses in radiology in her home state of Hawaii, and the rest is history. “Things happen for a reason,” she says.

What inspires her about the work we do? “Restoring function and confidence in people,” Jazmin says. “The thought of someone not wanting to smile or being unable to eat the foods they love makes me sad. Smiling, laughing, and eating are therapeutic in so many ways.”

Outside of work, she loves sharing her life with her husband Antonio and their daughter Leialani above all, whether that means exploring locally or creating memories by jet setting off to a new destination. This month, we’re shining a light on Simon, our effervescent Lead Dental Hygienist in Lincoln Park. If you’ve met him, you already know he’s a bright presence whose warmth and professionalism puts his patients at ease and keeps them (and his colleagues, to be honest) smiling. 😁

Simon began as a Hygienist with Pure Dental Spa in 2019, and has since become an integral part of our practice. He loves meeting the incredible folks who sit in his chair, and being part of creating a stellar patient experience. He says, “Having a solid team working alongside you makes any working day fun!” 🦷

After getting his braces removed in the 7th grade, Simon felt like a new person. The feeling of having a healthy, confident smile was unlike anything he’d experienced before. So after completing his undergraduate degree, he set out to bring that indescribable feeling to as many people as he could. And he’s done exactly that, while providing the highest standard of comfort and care. 🙌

“I love Pure Dental Spa,” says Simon, “because they have given me the autonomy to do whatever possible to give my patients a unique, beneficial, and personalized experience to change their perspective of what a dental visit SHOULD be like.” 👏

Outside of the office, Simon loves to travel and stays centered through creative outlets, from creating music and DJ-ing to drawing. When he’s not at the gym, you can find him watching Korean shows with his wife and their Aussie Pom, Loki. 🐕
