Balboa Red and Stripes Friday night practice Christian. Getting ready for tomorrow’s Balboa Hills Shootout.

Its that time again! We will be having our first tryout for Balboa Hills teams this coming Sunday 3 to 5pm at Burroughs HS Small Gym. If you are still alive in the State Playoffs you can come but please do nothing but take shots. No contact drills and no running.

We are very excited to announce that we will be attending the Gauntlet in Phoenix, April 24-26 with at least our top team. This will be the first time we will be attending this tournament!! Balboa Hills teams will be very strong this spring. There are a few spots open for our top team as well as spots for all three other teams. Once again, We will be competing only on the weekends with practices being in Burbank. We will be competing in many local and out of town tournaments from mid March through July.

Congratulations to Sammie Henley on her commitment to CSUSB Coyotes!!! Great to see all hard work and dedication has paid off!

‪Balboa Hills National 2019. Thank you for a wonderful season. Sammie, Haley, and Madison will be seniors. Diana is on her way to college. Faith and Emily will begin their Junior season and Amaya will just be a sophomore. Good luck to all the girls in the upcoming high school season.

Balboa Hills parents and players. There is a Balboa Hills Parents and Friends page that parents, coaches, and players can post pictures and communicate.

Balboa National 1st Tournament with all the girls playing together as a team. Team showed a lot promise as the girls learn to play as a unit.

Practice is Friday 7 to 9pm at Providence.

Sunday White will play 10am at Burroughs HS, Red will play at 1pm at Burroughs. Blue and National off all weekend. Enjoy!

The next two weekends we will play in our first warm up tournaments. White and Red will be playing next weekend in the TVT Tournament in Burbank and Sherman Oaks. Blue will be playing at Ventura College. April 13/14 National and Blue will be playing in the Quakes Tournament. at Ventura College. White and Red will be off except for practices.

Faith (‘21 JBHS) and Maya (‘22 Brentwood) have been friends since middle school. One is an ALL-CIFSS player and the other a JV/Varsity player on the rise. Friends push each other to be their best. Players respect players! Honing ones basketball skills and fundamentals are never above or beneath any player!!! Work Hard, Play Hard!!!

Balboa First Day Completed. Pretty decent turnout for tryout #1. Expecting a few more players next week.

Balboa Hills will once again be looking to form 3-4 teams including our top National team to compete spring/summer. Our first tryout will be Sunday March 3rd 2-4pm at Providence HS.
