Oil Spotlight of the week!
A lot of people wonder about where do essential oils come from and whats so great about doterra. Its important to know where your oils are coming from and that they are pure with no additives. If they aren't it will effect how they impact your body. This video goes into the process a little for one of my favorite oils. Copaiba is an incredible oil and I use with almost everything it is an oil that increases the efficacy of the other oils it is paired with and it has a really effective analgesic effect. I use it in my headache blend and it takes my headache away instantly!

Eucalyptus is great to have on hand because it has a cooling, calming, and rejuvenating effect. You can mix it in with your lotion or diffuse/make a rollerball along with peppermint to wake you up and open up your sinuses and lungs when you are congested. No joke if you put a drop of this and peppermint in your hand, rub them together, and breathe in you will almost immediately feel yourself breathing easier. (Or you can use the blend called Breathe.) Melaleuca aka Tea Tree oil is a must have in your oil repertoire. It is a really powerful cleaning and purifying oil that can be diffused and applied topically. It is my favorite oil to put on my face prevent and treat breakouts and on any irritated skin I have (like razor burn). Its super strong so I recommend diluting it in a carrier oil like fractionated coconut oil first to see if your skin is sensitive to it. It also can be diffused with oils like on guard and lemon to purify the air when its cold season! AND if you love research fun fact doTerra has done a research study on the effects of Melaleuca and they discovered it impacts the genes and proteins of human cells specifically in the remodeling and metabolic process. Lavender! The oil that everybody knows about. When I started working night shift someone told me Lavender will help me sleep so I jumped all over it because you can't put a price on sleep when you work nights! AND it helped so it quickly became an key part in my unnatural nocturnal sleep schedule. It is high in a property called Linalool which is known for its ability to reduce anxious feelings and promote sleep. Lavender can also be used topically on irritated or dry skin to soothe it. Yayaya! This is one of my favorite oils because it literally instantly takes away my stomach cramps. I am convinced my stomach is out to get me and I never know when it will get upset. I keep Digestzen in my purse in a rollerball and rub it directly on my stomach whenever it is starting to cramp and it instantly relaxes it. It is a blend of peppermint, ginger, fennel and more and you can also put a drop in a glass of water and drink it for the same relief.
