On this day in 1990, SLAUGHTER played their very first gig at the Municipal Coliseum in Lubbock, Texas. Despite having never played live, the band suddenly found themselves opening for Faster Pussycat and KISS (it actually makes sense when you consider the fact that "Up All Night" was one of the most requested videos on MTV that Spring). And believe it or not, the moment they walked off the stage that night, they were given gold record awards for Stick It To Ya! In the words of Mark Slaughter, ”We had never played live before. We had played in rehearsals where roadies watched us, but other than that, nobody had seen us. And we went gold as soon as we came off the stage. Two guys from our record company, Chrysalis Records, presented us with gold records when we came off. I could not believe it.” Happy 33rd anniversary, boys! 🤘

Great drummer hang in Nashville last night with killer drummers Ray Luzier and Chris Frazier. Lot of cool history with Ray, he still owns my first chrome Ludwig drum set from the Fly to the Angels video.

Every year we are overwhelmed by your endless support. But with the 2021 concerts now behind us, we're especially grateful to all of you for making this tour possible.
There's nothing that we love more than being out on the road, putting on live shows and spreading joy. A successful tour is dependent on a vast web of people - from the touring and local crew members, to each and every person in the audience.

Two show days, four shows left on the Trans Siberian Orchestra 2021 winter tour.! This run has had its challenges but we’re all so grateful to be able to do what we love and bring a little happiness to the world! Thanks to everyone that supported us whether you could make a show or not, hopefully we’ll see you next year!
