Here’s a recap of the upcoming reunion.

May 31 at 5 pm meet at the High School cafeteria. It’s located at the back of the school in the old parking lot.

We will break up into 2 groups for a tour of the school.

Dutch treat meal at 6:30 at Stilwell’s. We will have a buffet of lasagna and chicken spaghetti, various side items, and dessert. (Italian cream cake, coconut pie, chocolate pie, and other items they will surprise us with!). The cost is $25 per person.

Anyone interested in going to Russ and Dana Willingham’s afterwards is welcome.

On Saturday some people are floating the river. There are several outfitters to choose from. If you haven’t made a reservation yet you better hurry! lol

Saturday night we will meet at 6:30 at the Willingham’s. The meal will be chicken and Boston butt and of course sides and dessert.

7:30 we will have our class photo and a remembrance ceremony for those no longer with us.

Dr. Dr., a band from the area, will begin playing at 8:00.

Please remember to bring lawn chairs and BYOB.

Also, donations will be appreciated to help cover the cost.

We met Saturday night to discuss our 40 year reunion next year. We decided on the weekend of May 31-June 2, 2019.
Someone will be contacting you for your email and mailing addresses so we can send an invitation with all the information on it. Please plan on coming. It would be great to get as many together as possible.

Thanks for clarifying Paula and Donna. Let's not rush things! Our 40th reunion is NEXT year!:) This is a get together where we'll start planning our 2019 40th reunion. But lots of possibles and maybes on here! And we do need a firm head count by early May! Everybody in the DHS Class of '79 is welcome of course, and we'd LOVE to have you attend. But Russ and I obviously don't want to plan for 100 and have 20 show up! So if you know FOR SURE that you will be attending, please shoot me an email confirming your attendance at [email protected] before May 5th. Aunt Nancy's visitation will be Thursday 6-8pm and the funeral service will be at 10 at Wasson's funeral home off of 412 in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Copied from Emmalee Copeland.

It is with a heavy heart that I post today. Our sweet, smart and loved Aunt Nancy is gone to a much better place. No more suffering. I will be posting arrangements when they are made. Sten V will visiting here from Sweden. There will be a get together at Doug and Celia Miller's this Saturday at 6 pm. Please bring chips and dip or dessert and a lawn chair. The address is 118 Cooley Lane, DQ. (It's a side road off the old Lockesburg highway).

Prayers Needed!
My dearest friend & neighbor, Nancy Copeland, had a heart attack Friday. She had 2 stints put in, and was doing much better, yesterday.
Around 7 last night, she took a turn for the worse. She had fluid on her lungs and was struggling to breathe. They sedated her & placed her on a ventilator. She was moved to the ICU.
This morning, her vitals still aren't good, fluid still on her lung, and is slightly sedated. But, it's possible that later today she might be taken off the vent.
Nancy is one of the toughest people I know. She has had major health problems since she was in her late 40's when she had a stroke.
She has always fought back and pulled through!
She means the world to me and so many others.
Please pray for her and her family.

Guys can if they want to, but usually don't want to, call and reserve at 580-306-2279, ask for LuAnn and tell her your with this group.

Hope this finds everybody healthy, wealthy, and wise!

We are planning a crawfish boil at Russ & Dana's home on the Mountain Fork River on Saturday afternoon/evening May 2nd. Like previous times, we'll provide the crawfish......and we'll divide up the rest of the stuff for you to bring. BYOB, and bring your lawn chairs.

Can you let us know whether or not you're coming so we can get an accurate head count to determine how much crawfish to buy? If you and your spouse are attending, we'll follow up with you later on what to bring.

As usual, feel free to invite any '79 classmates I might not have copied on this email who you think might like to come. I don't have everybody's address.
