Leonard Eugene Chisum
Leonard Eugene Chisum, 72 of Nogo, Arkansas, went to be with his Lord, Friday, January 28, 2022 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 13, 1949 in Ben Hur, Arkansas to Alvie and Julene Reddell Chisum. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his loving wife, Phyllis Chisum; son, Scott Chisum and wife Jackie; daughter, Sheila Vaughn; stepchildren, Anna Henry and Roger, Aaron Holt and Alyshia, Neva Thomas and Wayne, Owen Holt and Tina; grandchildren, Tesia Moore and Frank, Chloe Chisum, Isaac Chisum, Colter Vaughn, Kaitlin Henry, Aalia Holt, Aria Holt, A.J. Holt, Daniel Thomas, Sarah Smith, Rebekah McCoy, Rechelle Wright, Samuel Holt and Emily Estridge ; several great grandchildren; siblings, Troy Chisum and Kathy, Roy Chisum and Charlotte, Helen Campbell and Dewayne, Mike Chisum and Lesa, as well as numerous other family and friends.

Leonard, also known as Leonard Bob or Bob, was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Leonard was the pastor of Falling Water Church for several years. He was faithful to his church, family and employer. His favorite past time was cutting wood.

His visitation will be 5-7pm, Monday, January 31, 2022 at Russellville Family Funeral. His service will be 10am, Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at Falling Water Church with Bro. Jon Burdine, Bro. Roy Chisum and Bro. Mike Chisum officiating. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Hector under the direction of Russellville Family Funeral.

Pallbearers will be Lionel Humphrey, Paul Ray Chisum, Isaac Chisum, Jose Rivera, Mike Howell and Billy Roberts.

Honorary pallbearers will be Donnie Chisum, John Giese, Harold Hendrix, Bill Hendrix, John Biggers and Jonathon Humphrey.

The annual Hector High Alumni Banquet for 2021 scheduled for September 11 has been cancelled due to the rise in covid infections in our area. Hope to see you next year. Kenneth Parrish
Kenneth “KP” Lee Parrish, 69, of Hector, passed away Saturday, January 6, 2018, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Russellville. He was born December 8, 1948, in Hector, the son of Leamon and Evelyn Parrish. Anyone that knew “KP” knew he loved being in his log truck daylight to dark. He died a happy man doing what he loved hauling logs.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Nancy Parrish; one daughter, Amanda White; and one great-grandson, Braxton Huffman.
He is survived by his parents; one daughter, Tracy and husband Ronald Lusk of Russellville; 4 grandchildren, Heather and husband Matt Huffman of Hector, Kristen “KT” and husband Justin Nuckols of Hector, Seth Lusk and wife Brianna of London, and Ben Lusk and fiancee Kristen of Russellville; 5 great-grandchildren, Devin Nuckols, Cole Huffman, Quinton Chronister, Klair Burns, and Bristol Nuckols; sister, Nelda Owens of Centerville; brother, Glen Parrish and wife Sharon of Hector; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services are 10:00 AM, Thursday, January 11, at Lemley Chapel with Bro. Roy Chisum and Bro. Jamie Burris officiating. Burial is in Walnut Grove Cemetery under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Visitation is from 6:00-8:00 PM, Wednesday.
Pallbearers are Seth Lusk, Ben Lusk, Matt Huffman, Justin Nuckols, Jonathon Parrish, and Chris Gray.
Honorary pallbearers are great-grandsons Devin Nuckols, Cole Huffman, and Quinton Chronister.

I just learned this morning at church that Kenny Parrish passed suddenly yesterday, Saturday, January 6,of a heart attack. Prayers for his family. We will post information about his services when they come available.

Alumni Banquet 2017 was a wonderful evening highlighted by Sandra's biographical sketch of her father, and Rick Pruitt's rendition of the Class Song "Yesterday". Time to exhale. See you at the Bank.

Class Members!!!! Our decorating day is moved to
Wednesday, August 2, at 1:00 PM.
The school is holding registration for students on Mon, Tues, and Wed. morning of that week in the cafetorium.

Next Meeting----Workday at the Hector School Cafetorium, Tuesday, August 1, at 1:00 PM. We need the Able-Bodied and Disabled alike. Bring decorating and serving items on that day. Bring desserts and door prizes on Friday, August 4. Some will be there at 3:00 PM to begin setting up.

Our next class meeting will be July 6, 6 PM at the Gathering Place in Hector.

The next Alumni Banquet meeting will be June 15, 7:00 PM at the Gathering Place in Hector. Remember that each class member needs to provide two desserts and two door prizes for the Alumni Banquet which is August 4.
the Banquet begins with visiting at 5:00 PM followed by the meal at 6:00.

Saturday, August 5, a pizza party will be provided for the Hector Class of 1967 at The Old Bank Restaurant, Main Street in Russellville at 6:00PM.
