We still have Torch Run T-Shirts at $10.00 each. Call Faye at the District Attorney Office 256-582-8113 to purchase.
Special Olympics will not be reset due to conflicts with state and district testing, field days, field trips, awards programs, spring IEP meetings, and volunteer availability. Someone from Special Olympics will pick up remainder of our shirt inventory on Wednesday April 22, 2015.

17/04/2015

Unfortunately, as we are all aware, the weather has not been in our favor for the last couple of weeks. The constant rain that we have experienced in North Alabama has made spring athletics an absolute mess for most school districts and ultimately led to the cancellation of the Marshall County Special Olympics for the last two consecutive Fridays. We are sorry to announce that based on conflicts with state and district testing, field days, field trips, awards programs, spring IEP meetings, and volunteer availability, the schools will be unable to reschedule the Marshall County Special Olympics for this school year.

16/04/2015

Special Olympics Torch Run has been cancelled for Friday, April 17th. We apologize for the late notice but there has been a steady rain in Arab since about noon. The current radar indicates rain through about 6:00 PM tonight with a 50% chance of rain late tonight and early tomorrow. The soccer fields are saturated and once people get on the fields it will make a mess very quickly. Unfortunately, based on what has been happening and the current condition of the field, we are going to have to cancel the Special Olympics for Friday, April 17th.
