🔥😍🔥😍🔥 HAPPY RELEASE DAY!!! 🔥😍🔥😍🔥
I finally did it! I always wanted to create a song that's really close to the music I grew up with in the 80s. So (as my alter-ego Pete Sheppibone) I picked Jane Wiedlin's Power pop hit "Rush Hour" from 1988 and morphed it into Nu-Disco style (which is pretty close to 80s Italo-Disco). Jane Wiedlin was a member of The Go Go's alongside Belinda Carlisle (who later became super famous as a solo artist with "Heaven is a Place on Earth").
To infuse the highest level of authenticity, I fired up numerous of my analog vintage hardware synths during the production process, adding a genuine retro touch to the music. I also created a retrofuturistic-style lyric video for you to enjoy. The song is OUT NOW on my label Sonic Art Music (see links below). I hope you gonna like it. :)

No today but a little throwback for me personally. As you probably know, my favorite band is and has always been Depeche Mode, and they are also my biggest inspiration. I vividly remember whenever they released a new song in the 80s, I was sitting at school super excited and couldn't wait to get out and rush to the nearest record store, see the actual cover, get the record out of the sleeve, put it on the turntable, put on the headphones and finally hear the new song. I remember how moved I always was. How much I loved what I heard. How much I admired the production quality, the use of sounds, the great melodies, and the song as a whole. Today things are different. Meanwhile, Depeche Mode only consists of only two people (after Alan's departure in 1995 and last year's passing of Fletch). Instead of vinyl and CDs we now live in the age of streaming and songs get leaked on the internet days before the release. But I still decided to wait for the official premiere today on YouTube which just happened. So I sat there waiting patiently in front of the screen, and then it finally started: I was able to hear "Ghosts Again" and also watch the new video. And I felt the same excitement as I did more than thirty years ago - including the goosebumps. 😍 What a brilliant song! Thanks, Dave and Martin!

My song "Pure Energy" from 2006 was very much inspired by the early DJ Shog tracks that I liked (and still like) so much. Rest in peace, Sven, and thank you for the music and inspiration.

Absolutely shocked and saddened I just had to learn that Sven Greiner aka DJ Shog died.
He was the compiler of famous compilations such as "Dream Dance" and "Club Sounds" and I'll never forget how much he supported my Accuface project from early on.
Unforgettable also the long talks we always had whenever we met in person or on the phone. He was one of the really great and down-to-earth guys in the business and someone you could always count on. Not to forget the music: DJ Shog tracks are among my favorite Hard Trance songs ever. Rest in peace, Sven!
