One of our newest recruits for SailGP Season 3, grinder Luke joins us from Japan SailGP Team who he raced with in 2021.
He brings heaps of match racing experience from the America's Cup and adds international firepower to our ranks.
Hailing from Fremantle, Western Australia, Luke joins as our foreign athlete for Season 3.

A tough day at the office for Team ROCKWOOL Racing on Day 2 of the GC32 Racing Tour World Championship in Sardinia.

The Wind God's were not playing fair game today, with wind direction shifted almost 270 degrees from race to race, seeing anything from 3 knots to 12, only one race was actually completed, Listen in to Nicolai Sehested, Tom Johnson and Lars-Peter Rosendahl on what it was like on the water for Day 1 of the GC32 Racing Tour World Championships.

The Danish team β consisting of the athletes from the Denmark SailGP Team presented by ROCKWOOL β finished in third place in the four-day GC32 Lagos Cup 1 event, after an intense battle for the podium π
βWeβre over the moon to grab a podium in our first ever Racing Tour event β and it shows the progress we are making as a team that we can compete with these long-standing campaigns despite having never raced in this boat before,β says Nicolai Sehested.

Team ROCKWOOL Racing wins a podium spot in first ever GC32 Racing Tour event! π₯
After an intense battle for third place on the final day in Lagos, Portugal, we grabbed our spot on the podium β we're super happy with the result on our first competition in this strong class.
"It's really pleasing to get such a great finish to our GC32 Class debut β especially against such strong competition," said helmsman Nicolai Sehested πͺ
"We are mainly here for the learnings and development, but of course you always want a good result. It's important for your confidence and for the team to have a goal to achieve."

Claiming top spot on the podium, Alinghi raced a fantastic event dominating the lead throughout meanwhile the rest of the podium was up for grabs right to the very last race!
One of the biggest story of the day is no doubt Red Bull Sailing capsize followed by an incredible recovery to defend their second place position π Third place was won by just one point in the end with Team ROCKWOOL Racing just ahead of Black Star Sailing.
