Somehow this little babe is a month old already and I’m both amazed at how fast it’s gone and that it has only been a month.

I’m excited to FINALLY get my Christmas gift from two years ago 😂 My husband bought us tickets to see the theater production of Lion King (my favorite) and then 2020 had other plans. I can’t wait to take my little guy and see him experience some magic.

My new favorite thing is making snarky candles for my friends on their birthdays 😂

I had 1/4 of my class absent today. That’s a lot of humans to catch up tomorrow! This is how I keep up with absent work. I use this sheet to go over what we did in each subject and then staple any handouts to the sheet. When they finish all the assignment, they bring this paper back with them so I can double check that it all got done.
Do you have absent work procedures that work well for you? I’d love to hear about them!!

I have been having SUCH a difficult time with a student’s behavior this week. Not a single trick I know was working. Yesterday I was at the very end of my rope by recess.
I could have taken that recess away from them.
I could have used that as an opportunity to “teach him a lesson.”
Instead, I took him out to recess with me (it was my week for recess duty) and I played basketball with him. And today was much better. 🖤🏀
It’s really the little things that show these people we care.
