I had someone order two of the same vanilla raspberry cakes but I couldn’t decide if I liked the smooth cake or the one with the bottom icing frills better so I did one each way 🤷🏼‍♀️

This sourdough took a week of diligently feeding my starter, an entire day of meticulously folding, kneading, and proofing, and has lasted over 24 hours as we meticulously ration the deliciousness. It has earned a spot on my page so I can always remember this first love 🥰 And of course I have to thank for the starter that started this!

I came home to the BEST surprise today- a brand new oven!! No more lowering my times and temperatures or rotating baking halfway through because the back right corner is so hot 😅

Lewis’ grandma was definitely my baking inspiration when it came to breads and she was a huge fan of eating everything I made! I know she always wanted me to get a new oven (maybe cause she was sick of hearing me complain about mine so often lol). Unfortunately, she passed away a few weeks ago so I won’t get to call her to tell her that our new oven dream came true, but in honor of everything she’s taught me, I felt it fitting that the first thing I make in there are her homemade buns 🥰

When your boyfriend is 31 going on 13, you make him chocolate bar themed cupcakes with Nutella based icing 😅

Holy crap I have been busy! Who knew moving and working full time would mean a year just whizzing past? I still was busy baking up a storm- just really slacking in the social media department. Here’s a few things I whipped up over the last year!

Last month I challenged myself to do something completely out of my wheelhouse: gluten free cake. The only stipulation I had was “gluten free” (unlike my last post) so I was able to make a 2-layered chocolate GF cake that actually rose! And I celebrated that with monochromatic roses all over the cake 😁🌹

I recently made this cake where the only stipulation was “lots of gluten”. Introducing this 3-layered deathly chocolate cake featuring home made cookies and some Oreos. 27 is looking good 👌🏼

I’m over this cold weather! Let me pretend I’m somewhere tropical with these piña colada cupcakes! 🌴🥥🍒🍍
