To spotlight, elected SK Officials must undergo the mandatory training program before he or she can assume office as per Section 27 of Republic Act No. 10742, also referred to as the "Sangguniang Kabataan Reform Act of 2015".

Accommodated by Gateway Hotel Iloilo ,organized by the Department of Interior and Local Government(DILG) With the National Youth Commission ,Liga ng mga Barangay and the Local Government Unit of the Municipality of Santa Barbara ,Barangay Buayahon SK Chairperson Rizty Adoracion with his SK Kagawads joined the said training today, November 13, 2023.

The training includes 3 modules covering 5 sessions with the topics on Decentralization and Local Governance, SK History and Salient Features, Meetings and Resolutions, Planning and Budgeting and Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards.

The 1987 Philippine Constitution enshrines the NYC stating, "The State recognizes the vital role of the youth in nation-building and shall promote and protect their physical, moral, spiritual, intellectual and social well-being. It shall inculcate in the youth patriotism and nationalism; and encourage their involvement in public and civic affairs.”

With this, Angat Buayahon- Sangguinang Kabataan of Barangay Buayahon is now ready to work for the progress and betterment of our community.

This very momentous event is a powerful commitment to serve with transparency and empowering the youth. Let us work together to uphold the ideals of leadership, integrity, and community in order to bring about better change for a brighter future.
