👀🫣 Well, it's really getting REAL; we're just 100 days away from 's 8th annual "Cocktails, Cupcakes, and Conversations" conference (brownie points if you can say that 5x fast). This conference brings up so many amazing memories for me.
When I first embraced the idea of hosting an annual conference, I envisioned it becoming an event that women in the media industry would always look forward to. It has been a pleasure to see the same 100+ faces return every year, with new faces joining the mix too. Our conference is a safe space, a fun space, and an inspiring day of networking, learning, and growth. I can't wait to see YOU in Atlanta on Saturday, March 9th, 2024.

I get asked a lot about reading, podcasts and things I watch to stay “motivated.” First of all, I only do things I enjoy. It’s never for motivational purposes. I only read books I like after the first few pages. Time is of the essence in my life, and I’m not going to waste it on a bad book.

If you’re looking for an easy answer on how to make it in this industry. I’m not the girl you should be listening to. I don’t know the great magic secret to success, mainly because I don’t see myself there yet. But mostly because my journey has felt like a whole lot of back and forth, of gaining and losing, fear, impatience, networking, learning, some bu****it here and there and a lot of growing, stretching past my limits, and moving. But one thing that has always kept me going is faith - faith in myself and faith in something bigger than me which in my case is God.

If you’re familiar with my career journey, you’ll know that once I graduated I felt lost AF. Post-grad depression is real and should most definitely be talked about in more spaces. Three months after walking I returned home and settled for what I thought was going to be an internship. I ended up getting hired as the radio station owner’s assistant and the rest…I’ll have to tell you all about tonight at panel! See you there! 🐍

Happy National Radio Day! I don’t talk about it a lot, but my radio journey has led me to so many places & I’ve met so many amazing people. But I think it’s most important for you to know where I began. I started my radio career in college at station. You could not tell me I wasn’t on a major station. I treated that opportunity like I was in a number one market and on the number one station - it was tiny Tallahassee. I worked my ass off! I based my full-time class and real work schedule off my radio schedule. Very crazy, and I do not recommend. I wanted and got every interview with artists that would visit & built relationships. I never took time off because I didn’t want anybody in MY spot. I had real DJs on my show . I’m sure people thought I was crazy, a little too passionate but I wanted to be the BEST. I never toot my own horn, but there’s no big secret to why I’ve received opportunities - it’s because I work harder than most. Work-mode Meagy and Chill Meagy are two different people. If there’s something I want (and God wants me to have too) I’ll get it - maybe not on my time but His. So here’s to those who are getting to it, and those who have it - don’t ever lose that hard work and passion! From Meagy Meag to Meag Taylor ❤️

One year ago I completely 180’ed my life, packed up my Audi baby, and moved to Atlanta. I took a chance on myself and God’s favor did the rest…
