The Association of Bridal Consultants (ABC) is the oldest and largest training organization for wedding professionals in the world, with over 4,000 members located in all 50 states and in 27 countries. Something to think about…🤔
As we move into the season of engagement, wedding shows, and planning for next year, many of us also start thinking about pricing.
We all want to ensure that customer chooses and signs with us. The temptation is definitely there to discount your pricing, and offer your services for less, but when you do that are you sending the wrong message? As wedding professionals, you shouldn’t be devalueing the work and services that what you do.
What if you changed your thinking, kept your pricing the same, but added MORE VALUE?
Start thinking of actual signing bonuses you could include that might not actually financially take away from your bottom line? (And when we say signing bonus, we mean that the client gets it when they sign a contract with you and pay their intial non-refundable payment to secure your services.)
📍 Add a budget template
📍 Add a design consult (to encourage them to meet with you for a basic wedding package like Day Of Coordination and set the stage for then to add on and hire you for additional services).
📍 An hour-long phone or Zoom consult on any wedding topic of their choice.
📍 Referral of 3 vendors of their choice. (E.g. They want the names of a photographer, a florist, and an officiant.)
📍 A FREE wedding website (if you already subscribe to a service that allows that)
📍 2-3 hours of wedding planning if they book their destination wedding through you and you’re handling all of the travel arrangements for the couple and their guests
📍 Offer to make hotel arrangements (room block) for out-of-town guests (through the ABC Hotel Division)
📍 An engagement photo session (for wedding photographers)
📍 Additional lighting options or a gobo (DJ)
These are just a few ideas to get you started. But remember that whatever you offer has to work for you and your business. The key is to think of things that may cost you a little extra in time, but might not come out of your actual bank account.

Hi Everyone. We’re super excited about our upcoming conference in Puerto Rico. Continuing education is essential and I dare say, it’s been like self-care over the years spending precious time with everyone in our community. Can hardly wait to do it again this time in PR!!

I am simply devastated by this news. It took me a bit longer to react and post here, as I was at a loss for words and it hurts too much to think it could be true.
Nicole was tremendous. The kindest person one can meet. She met my daughter once when she was 6 yrs old as I traveled with her to a conference and since then, for years to come, Nicole brought me gifts after gifts for her.
Nicole, may you rest in peace my friend. We simply love you. Please continue to watch over us as you always have on earth, always helping us stay organized and learning. 💔 🌸💐
