Hellen is a ranger with the South Sudan Wildlife Service working to protect Southern National Park, where Fauna & Flora is working to preserve nature and improve the livelihoods of local communities. South Sudan is a biodiversity hotspot and home to many threatened and charismatic species including lion, chimpanzee and African wild dog. Hellen has spent 10 years working as a ranger for the Wildlife Service, a typically male-dominated environment, and currently holds the rank of Corporal. Rangers play a vital role in protecting species and their habitats through anti-poaching activities and engagement with local communities to help develop sustainable livelihoods. 🦁🐦🌿 #SavingNatureTogether
