Working on these little fairy globes. They are fun to make, but tough to photograph 😂 if you know me at all, you know I’m always fantasizing about the woods, so creating little cabin hideaways are so satisfying.

I made some body mists- and omg they really do smell just delightful, and the scent lasts without being too weak or strong. I was nervous 😬 but I’ll definitely be making more.

A touch of anxiety, or is it excitement-

A tingle of fear and curiosity
Neon lights reflect on our skin
And from our eyes.

Do you remember the color of water when you were a child? Aqua, turquoise, cerulean. Whether you were a mermaid or rode a whale, the shadows in the deep weren’t as terrifying as they are when you grow up. 

There can be beauty in the chaos.
A battle of mind over matter.
A fiery rage lives in our veins from day to day.

I have to make Art that I enjoy making. Abstract isn’t for everyone, and I can’t be bothered to cater to an audience that isn’t my own. I love color, and texture, and seeing into a painting to feel an emotion triggered by depth. I see the sky between trees. A wispy cloud. I see fear and hope.

7 years ago I took a position to become the manager of the shop I was working at. I set aside all my hopes, dreams, and desires to cater to my boss and help grow her business. I quit recently to live my own life again. I’ve broadened inventory I make- having a passion for the occult and art- I’ve decided to fuse all my interests under the name of Humble Works.

Here I go again!

At the moment I’m setting up at Bottega Art and Wine 723 N. 4th st, Wilmington NC from 4-8 every Sunday (weather permitting)
