Dear Jewel Schoolers,
I wanted to inform you that I will be undergoing a scheduled surgery that is common for women of my age. Although it is a routine procedure, the recovery time is usually around 2 or more weeks. Unfortunately, Jewel School will not be running during my absence. However, I have recorded a lengthy demonstration for my Monday streaming show, The Circle, which I hope you will enjoy.
I have consulted with my doctor regarding this matter, and he has assured me that as long as I take it easy, a 9-day recovery period should be sufficient. That means I will only be out for 3 shows. If I appear a little tired when I come back, it is due to the surgery.
I understand that there are differing opinions about running Jewel School in my absence, and while I agree, the final decision is not mine to make. I kindly ask for your patience and support during this time. Additionally, I request that everyone refrains from posting any negative comments. It is disheartening to read mean-spirited remarks, especially when I put in hours of preparation for Jewel School during my free time. Each show involves extensive research, written preparation, and practice.
Although Robert is capable of hosting the shows, he has a busy schedule and is unable to do so this week. While Katy enjoys co-hosting, she is not yet comfortable with hosting alone.
I understand that many of you may be disappointed, but rest assured that we will be back on Sunday, the 21st. Please feel free to share your comments here, but let's keep the discussion positive. Jewel School is here to stay!
