Last one of the year done and dusted. :)

I want to thank you all for your support again this year.

20 years of Tripped was marked with a lot of highlights, personal growth, stability, creativity and love.

Special shout out for handling my bookings & for always being there for me.

Earlier this year I started to work part-time again and it has brought financial stability and a peace of mind allowing my creativity to flow non-stop,
the only thing missing is time. ^^

Managing Madback records, which brings a lot of work in new releases, distribution , making/painting the artwork, next to creating music, preparing sets, and traveling/playing gigs on the weekends, all this with 50% time has been challenging, though.

A while ago, for the first time ever I didn’t really know where my place in the scene was anymore.
not quite feeling the current Hardcore styles, nor what’s going on in the so called Hard techno scene was really bothering me.

I am not someone who will make music to stay relevant or boost bookings.

I realised that I just need to focus on my own work and that things come and go.

It is also up to us, the ‘older’ generation to teach the new gen how things are done and make them realise jumping on a bandwagon is not a long term solution.

If your goal is to become popular and get famous fast, it has never been easier.

Just load in your sample pack sounds and ‘do the formula’ but also know that your time will expire, at some point.

Be creative, seriously.
Make something you can be proud of, and don’t be one of many.

That being said, I truly love the direction everything is going personally, building my platform with artwork and creating a wide range of music has kept me inspired.

Despite releasing a bunch of music including my second album this year, I’m still sitting on a sh*t ton of new stuff that needs to get released and I am also working on a bunch of collabs & remixes.
(some of which i already spoiled in the PRSPCT XL video post) =)

We are starting 2024 strong with the first Madback release coming on 12/01 and perhaps I can spoil there might be a third album in the works.

It has been a crazy few weeks dealing with so many projects simultaneously and with such limited time lately.

It was therefore great to unwind a bit over the weekend, celebrating my new album and getting back to nature by sleeping in A dope Yurt.

My second full length album has arrived, roughly one year after Unboxed (PRSPCT273) and is once again ready to take you on another journey through hard techno, industrial, acid, breaks & hardcore techno.

I digged deeper into raw & analog techniques that will teleport you back to the wastelands of 90's warehouse raves.

While slowly building in Bpm and intensity, It features both emotional and kick-heavy tracks ready to take on any dancefloor.
It also includes a Remix of 'Tank', earlier released on MADINCH003.

I painted the artwork again myself on canvas.

'A Thing About Something' addresses mental health issues, anxieties & depression and aspires to keep fighting the daily struggles.

While we once again recognise the artwork style from past releases (painted by himself) we notice another personal concept linked to the album.

This Saturday marks 1 year since my album 'Unboxed' on PRSPCT Recordings & I wanted to celebrate it by giving you the opportunity to buy a replica of the original painting i made. (which i am holding)

The cool thing about getting a high quality Giclée print replica is that, if you are interested, I can let it be made into various (bigger sizes) up on request.

The original painting is just 40x40cm, So i could imagine a bigger canvas could fit some interiors better.

The finished product would be a museum worthy replica printed on 100% cotton, stretched on canvas like the original.
