OKAY. SO HERE'S THE DEAL. I CANNOT SLEEP until I post about this!!

I did not know that Steve Crenshaw Hidalgo was struggling like this, and perhaps you didn't either. My heart is just breaking right now, and I WANT TO HELP!! Steve will be hosting the Jam at Longshots in Wheat Ridge (4400 Ward Road!) on THIS THURSDAY NIGHT-even with his health condition. He has no choice. It is INCONCEIVABLE to me that our Brother, who has given SO much Musical Joy to others, is facing this kind of situation. I don't care where else you go this week, but I am PERSONALLY asking you to PLEASE come out and Support him THIS THURSDAY NIGHT. There is a GoFundMe on Steve's page, and I'll edit this post shortly to include it, (and please DO donate!!) because HE NEEDS US NOW. The words below are his own words. I don't want thoughts and prayers, I want ACTION. If you are a member of ANY Blues Society in this town, you know who Steve is, and have heard him play.

It's amazing how little the world reacts to my cries for some kind of relief. I'm not talking about friends giving up a few bucks to help out. I'm talking about having zero income and trying to raise rent still on this 12th day of Dec. To live in a tiny camper with inadequate heat no running water and a life threatening, crippeling , condition. I can live without promises from people for work that don't follow through. People see me hobbeling around. I don't need welfare I need help up and forward.. I'm trying to stay positive but it seems like everybody's allowed to have money but me. If I get a gig somehow it gets canceled. If I get an interview for f****** Pizza Hut, they somehow cancel. The only thing that saved me last month was pawning my guns. That was a mistake.

December 11th. Big Mama, born Willie Mae Thornton, was born, and the World would never be the same. What an ABSOLUTELY AMAZING DAY yesterday was. Not only was the room full, nearly a thousand of you watched online. What a time, What a TIME!! Saw so many folks that I hadn't seen in forever!! And we played our hearts out for David. Thank you, Bowker Family, for allowing me to share my love for David, along with so many others. Rest well, Captain. You will always have a place in my heart.
