Today Green Boom hosted an event in Doha for important actors in the area, showcasing our industry-first biodegradable absorbents and zero waste spill response solution.

With participants from Qatar Energy, Tawteen, Total Energies, QAPCO, QatarShell, Qatar Fuel Waqod, North Oil Company, and the Ministry of Interior the discussion was about a greener future and removing single-use plastics in oil spill cleanups.

Further, the Green Boom team presented case studies conducted with ADNOC, Saudi Aramco, and Ambipar, focusing on full cycle use of our absorbent, sludge handling, and soil remediation, emphasizing the groundbreaking circular and remediation processes of the Green Boom products.

Green Boom is proud to support the International Rescue Committee (IRC) in Atlanta's crucial mission of providing critical humanitarian support to refugees and displaced individuals from around the world.

This Saturday, Green Boom attended the Dinner Together, the inaugural fundraising event hosted by the International Rescue Committee (IRC), at the Atlanta International School (AIS). The event raised support and awareness for the Economic Empowerment initiatives benefiting refugees and immigrants in our community. In addition to having a significant impact on the lives of our new American neighbors, empowering them to build a brighter future and achieve their dreams of self-actualization.

This week Green Boom attended the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) in Houston, TX. Wonderful to meet partners, customers and all the knowledgeable people from the industry for discussions. Everyone's level of commitment to sustainability is encouraging to hear.

A special thank you to Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) and Oghenekaro Jockey for the enthusiasm in our revolutionizing oil absorbents, we are looking forward to the continued conversations with them.

Yesterday, Partnership Gwinnett introduced us to a neighboring school from our facility in Norcross to teach the next generation about how technology can help the planet. Thank you to all the amazing kids, our sales director Parker Pruett had a blast with you!

In October 2022 Green Boom joined the Spill Control Association of America. The organization, with members all over the United States, works to promote all interest groups within the spill response industry. This includes taking a proactive advocacy role with governmental entities, workforce development initiatives and management practices in health and safety programs.

Lawrence Malizzi of Ramboll, a board member of SCAA and our mentor, expresses that “I’d say the biggest benefit for Green Boom is introductions and the building of relationships with the cleanup contractors and others who buy boom.” The membership creates a great platform for sharing of information and we at Green Boom are excited for the new forum to strengthen our position in the market. Mr Malizzi continues by saying that “The benefit to SCAA is that Green Boom exposes the membership to the latest in cutting edge and renewable technology.”

Every year, SCAA holds a meeting for all members, which this year is in Jacksonville, FL in the beginning of April. Green Boom is glad to for the first time be a part of the annual meeting, to develop our connections with leaders within the industry and to learn more about the practices and ongoing conversations with governmental authorities.
